Link to quote? All I can find is that he's open to anything when his contact expires in Feb. Earlier this year he was liked the flexibility of working for NJPW and bouncing back and forth home.

Again. He's a great addition to any roster, one of the best in the world at the moment, but they don't need him.

Roster is bloated. No idea why they can't work with the full time talent they already have.

They can work with what they've got, the simple fact is if someone of the quality of Ospreay is available, you have a crack.

The children got their way in the end. Such a disappointing outcome and so avoidable. The Bucks carrying on at the end of Collision was a real sickener. Those guys draw flies, and there they are carrying on in the ring doing a victory lap. Children. I just hope they don't ruin Collision now which is easily the best 2 hours of Wrestling on TV. I also hope Punk hasn't signed an NDA, I would love to hear him let loose on what really happened.

Fair enough, big fan of continuity but accept that I'm in the minority compared to more hardcore AEW fans.

Not disagreeing, but point still stands about having a bloated roster and better utilising their existing talent.

That’s my biggest concern is Collision. Really hope that they don’t ruin it. My subscription to AEW ends in January, will give me a chance to see if AEW will still be worth continuing with then.

If you have someone of the quality of Regal giving out free advice, you would be foolish not to take it. There is nothing wrong with old school techniques, as over the years it has worked. These new methods where it’s gone into a 180 seems to have more issues and problems. Why reinvent the wheel, when you don’t have to?

Interested to hear your thoughts on the Punk/Regal reports after this...

Punk has behaved like just as much a child as anyone with his farcical behaviour so give the 'children' shite a rest.

I mean, we’re talking about a 44yo man who can’t control his temper and emotions, and is engaging in violent incidents with management and much younger colleagues.

I know wrestling is a different world, but can you imagine any of us surviving our jobs if we did that?

If we’re ranking “childishness” then Punk is at 10 and no one else is above a 5.

I think one thing we can agree on is that we're all over talking about it.

All Out was a good display of homegrown talent, great vibe and great show with a card that got more criticism than it deserved.

Good springboard into some good TV going forward.

Yep. People continuing to absolve Punk of responsibility and pointing the finger at everyone and everything else are kidding themselves. That's not to say others have conducted themselves well here and last year either because they haven't.

Punk should have been taking a deep breath here had a quiet word with Jack later saying he didn't mean do get in his business and was just trying to keep him and others safe. That would be what I expect from a veteran. I wouldn't approve of glass being used either. Not charging up to him and starting a fight as well as physically threatening and mouthing off to TK who has pandered to him miles more this run than he probably should have.

The interview between Aussie Open and Jericho spoke about how New Japan contracts have been low since the pandemic, and Ospreay has made comments about how he's had to accept almost every Indy gig available to support his family.

Kayfabe or not, he's made obvious overtures to signing a significant deal in 2024.

I think, if AEW can get the best wrestler in the world on contract, then they absolutely have to do it.

Are you referring to this?

If you are:
1. Punk is honest in his thoughts. Wether they be right or wrong at least you know where he stands.
2. The fact that it has only just came out, shows that it was more or less a non event, that wasn’t worth talking about at the time. I’m sure that both have moved on.

You simply must realise how inconsistent you are with this stuff, surely?

I think we will just have to agree to disagree on all things Punk, like I said I ultimately enjoy most of the stuff you share here and we don't have to agree on everything 😅

Punk, Perry , Hangman and all the Elite all have some blame in this and have contributed to it but the buck stops with Tony Khan. It is his responsibly to provide a safe working environment as an employer, he is the one who sets the standards etc. Normally an employer would tell you that you are required to attend a meeting not "ask" if you want to attend. Ultimately he is the one that let all this stuff simmer away and occur but when you have active talent as your EVPs and other active talent on a disciplinary board is never going to end well.

In the end it is the best result for them given the circumstances and I don't think anyone would defend Punk's actions but in the end the buck stops with Tony and its his responsibly to grow a set pull rank and tighten the ship he is running because if he doesn't he will continue to have talent walk all over him.

As mod, I reckon it's fine to talk about all the fallout of it in here, if he ends up in WWE, then it will move there.

Can respect that, would personally rather a drama thread to try and retain the focus of this thread on the actual show and people who are on the roster. I'll give myself a break for a week or two and hopefully things get back on track 😅

Pretty sure my post mentioned at least 5 current roster members and an incompetent employer 😉

Not the first time Danielson choked someone out this good.

When they decide Danielson is a heel again, would love to see this spot again as a call back and then make BCC look like badarses again.
