The match today wasn’t as good as it might’ve been, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how Penta hadn’t had a run as AEWs top heel. He’s probably the best argument for AEW originals being unfairly cast aside for ex WWE guys.

I’m glad we got an explanation for why BCC didn’t run out at the end. It’s such a tiny thing, but it’s too often ignored.

What was the deal with The Elites video package where they were vanishing?
They’re referencing them vanishing from the air post Brawl Out without any explanation as to why - this is their way of starting the promotion for their return.

Vanishing without explanation is a fairly common occurrence for AEW though - you could easily make a Miro one.

Ricky Starks is the current really tragic one. Remember the pop when he turned face? That was like 3 months ago :(

Mjf 100% using brass knuckles in his title match

I thought the same thing watching today - was last week, with MJF's "face turn", the promo with Regal, the finish... are they setting up Regal to betray the BCC and side with MJF?

I could see BD going with him if it happened, which could be amazing fun in a similar vein to Jericho and MJF during the COVID era.

He assaulted people backstage as well, the shoot promo post-ppv is only half the reason he's about to get his contract paid out.

If it was up to me, I'd have everyone involved in a room and try to talk things out with everyone keeping their jobs.

And also have Punk return as a heel when he's no longer injured.

From that, I’m getting the impression that Punk is a dick and it’s not worth having his BS in the locker room.

Not disputing that Punk’s emotions and ego sometimes gets the better of him. To me he seems like a genuine person, who can be brutally honest in his assessment of things. I think the Colt Cabana reference from Page was the trigger for his onslaught on the Elite in the scrum. These issues should have been addressed and sorted out before the scrum, when he first came back from injury and called out Page in his first promo.
Not sure how you get that from it, it makes it sound like Punk is more trouble than he's worth.

If Punk was in the wrong with the brawl, it would be rightful grounds for dismissal, so need to buy out his contract. so buying out his contract can be viewed as sweeping the “problem” under the carpet.

The main person who is to be held responsible imo is Khan himself. At no stage it seems has he been assertive to stop things from escalating, the way they did. Punk if a far bigger draw, than the Elite combined, paying out his contract makes no sense, if Punk was the instigator of the brawl.
