"Rumours Dane Swan has just had an MRI scan ... club says he hasn't though"

Yer but the club said the same last year and now say that players like leon and swan were all carying injuries for the finals. If he isnt fit then dont play him, rest Didak and Swan give them a week rest and they will come fresh against the dogs and if we win that then they get another week off.

Re: Dane Swan?

SEN also promotes a hologram band imbued with a special frequency which improves core strength and balance by 500%.

Dane Swan was abducted by aliens a couple of years ago who forced him to get special alien tatoos which help him communicate with the mothership, and also had the unforceen side effect of turning him into an elite midfielder. His waddle, which become more pronounced after the abduction is a sign that he is receiving or transmitting a message - none of which I'd believe had I not heard it on Melbourne sports radio.

Also on a side note, I almost had a heart attack, until I read that it was "reported" on SEN...!!

that is pure gold

back to dids and a previous poster i also thought tha a torn pectoral would render you absolutely f*cked? as in hardly being able to move the arm on the side affected which didn't appear to happen to didak the other night. i seem to remember anthony stevens from north pinging a pec late in his career and it would be fair to say the pain was immense judging by his reaction

Re: Dane Swan?

My oldman saw Reiwoldt in the oncology department with his girlfriend today. Not sure whether it had anything to do directly with him or a relative of his/his girlfriend's. But if he is a late withdrawal....

He has an MRI the week before Dids. Obviously that didn't turn out to be much as he played on the weekend. I would imagine that whilst the Didak one was potentially a little more worrying, the Swan one was more precautionary.

Considering an MRI really only takes between 10-15 minutes depending on what you're getting scanned, the only things to be concerned about for most people are the time and the cost involved. As for whether he had another one.. personally no idea but probably just a rumour. Either that or just another precautionary scan on what was done the previous week?

When you're a footballer, with no 9-5 job and the cost paid for by the club I'd say if they had a sore toe they'd be getting them scanned prior to the finals. And considering we're the best club, why wouldn't we treat our superstars with the best medical service?

Should get the entire list scanned if it helps us :D:thumbsu:

Hey guys,
I hardly ever post on here like to read more, however just going on what a few of you are going on about, Have heard from a source who is a massive collingwood fan and I hope he is wrong but he called me last night and told me that he has been told Didak is gone for the year. Can anyone conform if he trained yesterday? My source doesnt really give me much and he is wrong at times like everyone's source is but he is also right sometimes.

Didak will miss this week and is a chance to miss the Dogs final.

Other than that (barring any flare ups of course) he will be able to play for the rest of the year.

That is all.

I would be amazed if Dids played the First final. He doesnt have a shoulder injury. He has a rip in his Pectorial.

You must remember that the Didak rumour just started by a fan who was twittering,
It was not started by the club. You can now see how things get out of hand.
Around this time of year, expect to hear alot of rumours that are just that.

Unless the news comes direct for the club then disregard it.

Also we may have our niggle problems this time of year, that's why it's all important to rest players with niggles, especially since we can.Remember all the other teams have the same problems.

The next 4-5 weeks are the most important weeks of this year.
We must win the flag, otherwise its been to no avail and another year wasted.

I would like the club to send Cloke, Pendles and Daisy to seperate locations where scanning is done, just walk through the doors sit in the waiting room and walk out and have a coffee next door. Just to see the media frenzy that ensues as everyone creates the injuries that these guys have and start to celebrate our downfall. To add to the lols they could even rest them all this week.

I'd even go further, and send them all in walking with the assistance of crutches, just make the media really "go nuts".

But make sure they are wearing some sponsors products, because the media would eat it up like the bottom feeders they are.:p:eek:

If that is the case it must be a failry minor rip. In that case a 3 week spell would see him available for the Prelim final in 4 weeks.

I watched the incident a few times on replay near the end of the game and very hard to tell the extent of the injury.

With about 7/8 minutes to go, Dids goals and is seeing jumping up high-fiving players. So his injury mustn't have been severe/or even present at all at that point.

He then goes on and lays on an inside 50 to Travis to mark. Dids unhindered then. Travis misses the goal and from the ensuing kick out, the ball gets to Doughty and Swanny gives away a free kick. Doughty hand balls over the top and this is where Dids appears to reach his arms over the top of a tackle. He does look to hold his arm somewhat limp after this but I'm not sure that he comes straight off.

After the game he looks to be feeling in the Pec area. Doesn't look like season ender to me but fingers crossed it's no more then 4 weeks.

Lies. I hear Roo is constantly visiting his gynecologist. We all know why.

Hurt shoulder and strained pec. No tear.

Would make sense to not rush him, but he's not without a shot for the first final.

How do you know this? Seriously, name your source if you're going to say this sort of stuff.

So frustrating listing to speculation presented as fact. Particularly when you're quoting someone doing exactly the same thing, listing a different and mutually exclusive 'fact'. Why correct someone without saying how you know your set of facts to be correct?

btw its a corked medial deltoid with a half pike and a double pec combo twist strain

I had one of them once - hurt like hell

The information Figjam received is from someone "within" the club. The source is as realiable as you can get.

May well be, and probably unfair of me to single him out, but it's really frustrating reading a series of opposing facts seemingly without any basis.
