Silly thought of the day, every player deliberately contract COVID-19, delay the season and quarantine for two weeks/month and then resume as normal.

Um you catch the virus a second time i think. You dont get immunity.

6 weeks might be an understatement but within a few months most people will have caught it and gained enough immunity that can lift a lot of controls. The key is easing the load on hospitals

Yes, there are reports of people being reinfected. I cant find any links at the moment though.

I was listening to infectious disease expert Michael Osterholm on Joe Rogan yesterday and he was saying the shutting down of schools won't achieve much as the cases of Coronavirus in children is almost non-existent

Is it non-existent or do they just not show very severe symptoms? I didn't realise they were immune; I thought it was just that they weren't at risk of serious illness but could still be carriers. There are also stories of schools closing because students have tested positive for it.

If they can get it but don't show strong symptoms, it's quite dangerous because they remain carriers but without people being aware that they have it, which is why having them isolate may be a good idea. But whether the children really stay at home or go out into shopping centres and the like to infect a bunch of adults is another matter, I suppose.
