Please let posters that are not pissweak post mate, it's only fair!

Keep sooking mate.

You’re letting the SFA get to you. It might be time to reconsider whether this is the best place for you.

no he broke site rules 😐😐😐😐
Did he ! Noidenous you are a genuine great campaigner!

look he may be about to miss his 5th game out of 10 due to suspension when 99% of the league hasn't been suspended once, but it's for sure the mods that are the problem
He's from Baghdad but does he deserve the special treatment and bullying that goes noticed!

A classic case of the bullshit that permeates this board.

Agreed we should never ever have a mod of a board as the admin. It's a conflict of interests and let's have an admin outside of this in future.

The only time I have ever dealt with admin mentions as a mod is when some posters attempt to disguise mod abuse as admin potshotting.

Eg If I site ban “The admin banned me, what a soft****” would still be mod abuse because you’re referring to a mod action. Adding “admin” in front of it doesn’t make it less mod abuse.

To add to this, the admin is responsible for the organisation and administration of the fantasy league that is Sweet FA. They have no power to ban users. That is a moderator function.

I thought KP broke this down very well earlier:

ModeratorSFA Administrator
- enforce the Bigfooty site global rules and SFA forum content rules
  • remove posts, give warnings, hand out Bigfooty infractions to users who violate those rules
  • selected by site administrators

If anyone is not happy with the actions of a moderator, they can message another moderator on the SFA board for a second opinion or escalate it to a site supermod or admin.
- enforce SFA league rules related to the game, e.g. team sheet penalties
  • organise the day-to-day runnings of the SFA, collaborate with committee members, volunteers
  • run initiatives that enhance the SFA experience and work with committee reps to set up the best league structure
  • voted in by SFA committee (ratified by BF site admin)

If anyone is not happy with the actions of a SFA administrator they can contact other committee members or their own committee rep to initiate a veto of a decision or in extreme cases the removal of the admin from that role.

The two roles really exist in two separate spheres and even if hypothetically we assume that somehow an admin's decision is biased because of their interactions with certain posters as mod, then there are systems of accountability and oversight that exist to correct that action if it isn't justified.

Jabba73 whatever school provided your education should be condemned.

The School of Hard Knocks is a fine academic institution.

But it hasn’t graduated any new students since 1995. Kids these days are too SAWFT!

I don't get the debate.

If anything it's more convenient having a mod as admin. The rules are essentially the same. The only issue is if a mod/admin is carding posters for Sweet FA rules as opposed to site rules but that would be madness.

this

firstly i defy anyone to name an admin who used site sanctions to punish someone for a breach of SFA rules (while being fully compliant with BF rules)

its not happened, so lets put that shit aside.

secondly, if we ever have an admin abusing their mod powers by doing this, we the committee can remove them and/or the super mods can remove them as moderator
