Pretty good. Although Edwards is behind Fantasia and Langford probably J.Merrett too. There's also the question of whether TBC gets a game with Luenberger and Daniher in the side.

It will be hard not play Cooney if he is fighting fit come round one. In a strong side he can sit off the pack and wreak havoc which is exactly why we got him.
The mood around here is to play the kids, but when it comes to selection time, Cooney will probably still outshine the next tier.

Based on what? Langford may've played one less AFL game but its obvious he is rated highly internally and is one you'd expect to improve significantly over the preseason. Can't say the same for Edwards.

Based on the fact that Edwards is better? I like Langford but right now Edwards averages more touches, marks, goals, inside 50's per game.

Langford also provides another marking target/3rd tall/leading forward. Edwards more of a players whos at his best when the footy hits the deck.

I thought he might have come on a bit better then he has, he seems to have great vision and real potential as a play maker off half back or the wing - or so I thought. Am I expecting too much or being a bit harsh? I know he is still developing, but I feel he stagnated a bit this year, so I am not as bullish on him as I used to be.

Hard to judge anyone's progression in the environment they have been playing in over the last 3 seasons.

Not really at all. He doesn't cause any havoc.

The guys issue is simple... he can't run! He can't get up and down the ground. He's an absolute liability and one game next year will be too many.

Wish we had some more liabilities who regularly kicking 3 goals in a game when fit

Oh i know... Hard to get past all the horror stories about his knees especially when he has an injury riddled year first up with us. Just hope that he doesn't get played this year when he isn't fit, because that is one serious waste of time for all concerned! I'm concerned that they don't seem to judge the fitness of players very well at this club... Don't know why got played late in the year

Yeah I agree there, I think the whole list is probably unfit as far as standards go.

Given that this was cited as being a major problem as many as eight years ago, it's rather worrying that we're still there; if indeed fitness is still sub-par.
