Rampe turns 33 in June so I bloody hope we aren't pinning our hopes on him.
We weren’t playing the Cats, but they were also inefficient inside 50 this weekend.Maybe Freo are just inefficient inside 50 which saved us from something worse
If Geelong get +15 I50s we all know what happens .
I'm just deflated
Parker was a gun…he kept us in it. Warner..not so much but he tried. It was notable that we didn’t bomb to Buddy today - which I thought was a positive.
But ultimately, Freo had quality talls & we didn’t. Especially after Logan’s exit.
I might be in minority - but I actually thought the mids went OK. Just hard when you lack forward targets, so we over-possessed.
Rowy, Campbell and Errol in particular I thought had good games.
The biggest issue - the VFL side is dire. Apart from Gus and perhaps McAndrew, there’s just nobody even remotely putting their hand up.
Jesus. If he's out for the season then you can basically mark any big KPF down for 8 goals or more whenever they play us. There's just no-one else (well, other than Lewis Melican lol) that can play on the talls.PS - heard a rumour from a member I sit with today who knows someone in the club that there are grave concerns over the playing future of Tom McCartin as well as Paddy. Goss without saying what a disaster that would be on numerous fronts.
I think some posters are being harsh on Gould.
It was only his 2nd real game.
At one stage, he made a really smart decision to go long which led to a goal - if Fox had done the same, the board would have melted down with love.
He has a booming kick & a powerful unit. There’s a bit to work with there.
Francis took sone good intercept marks - but his lack of pace is always going to be a BIG limiting factor.
I see more upside in Gould.
And I find it hard to be critical of Blakey when he’s clearly being forced into unsuitable match-ups.
I've seen nothing to make me convinced of Gould.I think some posters are being harsh on Gould.

Lucky we’re not in the English Premier League - we’d be looking at relegation.
Reminds me of 2019. Another home farewell game? That would be exciting though. At least there'd be something to play for. Now the games are just dead rubbers with nothing but pride on the line. That's boring.

** And yet they felt no need to fill the gaps. **
