Is it any less cowardly if it's done with a decree that you know will lead to peoples' deaths?

In most instances I don’t condone murder and this is one of them .

However if this is the start of a movement against pyscopathic corporate CEO ‘s obsessed with lining their own pockets then I kind of don’t have a problem with it ( ideally not Murdering them )

The “more , more , more for the company “ whilst providing less for the consumer business model has got to stop

Healthcare, particularly in the US, is far more insidious than most CEO behaviour.

If it's fighting tooth and nail for profit at the expense of a consumer or competitor, that's perhaps part of the game.

But Healthcare CEOs dont' seem to take a lot of stock or consideration of the decisions they take, which their actuaries will tell them will lead to deaths. They make life and death decisions all the time. Seems like somebody very disgruntled decided to make that life and death decision for the CEO of one of the worst companies.

But, like I said. It's still wrong, and it won't change anything. But it's not unexpected. These health insurance companies drive people into poverty and illness every year, just because they get sick.

And don't forget, it's these CEOs who lobby to stop the Govt from doing healthcare properly. So they're the ones perpetuating the system, then abusing it at the expense of people's health and livelihoods.

Doesn't matter if its cowardly, you are skirting the point. Thats an incredibly long stretch to suggest killing this person was justified, even if it's only "tempted" to say it.......

Thats why there is a justice system in place.

We dont get to just kill people just because you are unhappy with the system in place.....
And just like dead people denied healthcare and their families are victims of the system, so is the CEO and the guy who killed him, who should go to prison.

That's the broader system at play. When you're driving people to such despair that they're willing to kill people, and probably accept the consequences, then you have to be willing to accept them yourself.

For all we know, the killer has a curable illness but has been denied care and therefore sentenced to death by this insurer.

A lot of people get driven into "nothing to lose territory" when it's healthcare.

Think you are missing the point.

For the CEO to go to Prison, he needs to have committed a crime and then be found guilty of it. What crime was he found guilty of? Not liking how a system works does not equal guilt of a crime.

Dispensing your own justice via essentially an assassination just because you are unhappy with the current health system in place does not justify it any way shape or form.

You are essentially gaslighting a guy, who hasn't been found guilty of anything (that i know of or have read about), as responsible for his own murder is a big stretch.......

I generally agree, but that is a government issue.

It's not a I'm unhappy with how it works so I'll kill a guy and he think it deserves it solution.

I'm not saying the victim is responsible, I'm saying the system they're in is responsible for it.

Just like he justifies the deaths of his customers as part of the system and not directly his fault, you could say that the backlash from those decisions is also part of the system and not directly his fault.

The death of the customers is a predictable result of the system.
The death of the CEO is a predictable result of the system.
The incarceration/execution of the murderer is a predictable result of that.

Is this the promised Obamacare death panel?

And if you believe that the healthcare lobbyists, led by the same CEOs have the Government in their pocket and will never do anything to help you. What's the next step?

When a Government is believed to be corrupt, violence isn't far behind.

The healthcare system in the US is clearly corrupt. Has been for years and shows no sign of changing.

It's the same with gun ownership. Everyone wants it fixed, but the gun lobby corrupts politicians so that nothing happens.

If changing the Government isn't an option in your lifetime, and inequality hits historic highs, history tells us violence isn't far away. Wouldn't be surprised to see a wave of similar violent acts.

I'm not arguing the cause/causations of it. On that you are right.

But your statement that "he got what he deserved", even if you were temptation-based statement is just silly.

He didn't get what he deserved, nor did the people that their system failed get what they deserve.

Apparently his company is #1 for denying medical insurance claims, and has doubled their rate of denials in the 5 years he’s been CEO.

Their profits have also doubled in the last 5 years
That's VIOLENCE imo and violence begets more violence

US Government allowing these people to operate like this.

Pretty sick.

People in power get away with white collar crime everyday

Pushing people into poverty for personal gain should be considered a crime

This is a US government fail who allow companies to operate like this. It is a corrupt system.

But if being an arseh*le was illegal, well........there wouldn't be enough prisons to hold them all. I dont disagree but as it stands this guy didn't deserve to die like this, regardless of if he was an arseh*le or not.

These companies while making record profits have been telling sick and dying people to GAGF'd... was only a matter of time before someone said 'f you right back.'

Thats why there is a justice system in place.

The justice system is notoriously bad at delivering justice. Doubly so if the person happens to be wealthy and/or powerful.

Healthcare CEO's can cost tens or hundreds of thousands of people years of their lives, yet not commit a crime, therefore no justice to be found.

Health insurance CEO increases rate of denial for claims, likely leading to a fair few deaths amongst those needing health care. No one cares, its "legal" to put profits over lives.

America bombs the s**t out of 100's of thousands of civilians, killing 100,000 or more in the process, just to get a couple of "bad guys". It's all an act of war, and justifiable revenge for a pissy couple thousand deaths back home.

Some nutter goes on a rampage and guns down 20 kids in a school. "Thoughts and prayers", "you're not touching our guns", and its all forgotten.

A rich man gets gunned down. Even though he has blood on his hand. World loses its s**t. Only his death matters.

Saint, I am afraid you are wrong about it being corrupt. It's doing exactly what it is designed to do, make rich folks richer. It isn't a healthcare system at all, it's a wealthcare system.

The problem is the system isn’t set up for fairness or justice. You idolise a system made by flawed people to enrich greedy people.

It’s set up in such a way that if you have enough money you can send as many people as you like to die as long as it makes you more money.

In a perfect world the CEO wouldn’t have been shot dead. At the same time in a perfect world he and every other health insurance c-level member would have been thrown in prison many years ago.

We don’t live in that perfect world though. Just as health insurers don’t lose an ounce of sleep sending thousands to death and bankruptcy, why should anyone else care when they lose one of their own?

It’s just one more body to add to the pile. Only this time it’s someone who has enriched themselves on the suffering and death of others.

Pretty much overwhelming support for this particular shooting all over social media, regardless of political persuasion.

Shows you just how much they despise the current healthcare system there.

Someone noted, if most of them travelled and experienced other first world healthcare, they'd realise it's even worse than they think and these shootings would be a daily occurrence

.

What do you think he did that would in any way tempt you to think he deserved being cowardly executed in the street?
He denied women and children lifesaving cancer treatments that would save their lives.
Thoughts and tarriffs to his family.
If Americans do this enough, to enough CEO!s perhaps they will eventually starting treating citizens and taxpayers as humans and not cash dispensing machines and numbers.
Got what he deserved, the second amendment!👍
