our players must have thought we were playing at marvel (with roof closed)....bit like thy
It is dumb playing Thursday night footy at the MCG in mid June.
Just stupid. First few rounds, ok, weather still ok for night matches at the MCG.
So many people stayed away because it just too difficult and way too wet and cold for this time of year to be out that night in work week.
Would have gone if it played today but nope, AFL have to be bloody minded and not care what fans really want that like to go.

yeah agree. when its cold at least you can dress accordingly but you are in for a miserbale night when it rains.

if played at marvel we probably win. i think they hate playing there.

I do not like Marvel at all, BUT, if we have to play a few games there, make use of the horrible place that no good for day games by using it more in middle of winter. This is not rocket science AFL. You designed a ground useless for day games so use it primarily for night and twilight fixtures, especially in middle of winter and keep the MCG more towards day time matches on weekend in middle of winter. It just bloody common sense.

Rightio WC, time for som miraculousnessness.👍
Almost until that bumbling idiot mucked up which resulted in a turnover that ended with a goal by Baby Huey.
So close!

Maybe we could have a new thread "Bullet Dodged" for players where numerous posters pushed for a player to be recruited but it turned out that there were genuine reasons why their original clubs weren't overly concerned about them leaving.

Current game nomination - Jarrod Brander.

Current clubhouse leader - Peter Ladhams.
