I do not like Marvel at all, BUT, if we have to play a few games there, make use of the horrible place that no good for day games by using it more in middle of winter. This is not rocket science AFL. You designed a ground useless for day games so use it primarily for night and twilight fixtures, especially in middle of winter and keep the MCG more towards day time matches on weekend in middle of winter. It just bloody common sense.
Fantastic. I look ahead this week and we play at Marvel but not at night, but early in day when no point as a roof will be on.
Twilight Saturday fixture would have been exactly what was needed in winter right now.
Meanwhile they have it opposite way around. Day matches at Marvel, night during week at MCG.
Will they ever learn?

Fibula and tibia as Coona Blues said. One of the worst injuries possible. Give me a knee any day.

Jesus. Only positive is he's only 22 and has time on his side, but poor kid.

They literally displace knee cap and hammer a “nail” knee to ankle through the bone. Missus rode with her’s fir a but before having to get nail removed. Three months minimum after both ops. Likely longer for footballer and months in between for bone remodelling.

Same injury Paul George (NBA) had mid-2014 for the Olympics trials.

He made it back the following April but could only play 15 minutes a game (last 6 games of their season).

He'll be very lucky if he's back before 2024.

Didn't Nathan Brown do something similar a few years ago? Pretty sure he was never the same after that injury

Yep. The one positive difference is just how far medical science has come in the years since.

i havent seen it. dont think i want to... the way the commentators where going on about it. poor kid.
I regretted looking at the Jason Snell ankle injury and Michael Voss leg injury in Perth in past decades.
Some injuries you wish you never saw and cannot delete from mind.

I’m not grossed out by bone breaks at all, probably cause I snapped my collarbone as a kid and also crushed my finger in a vice

Yet, concussions and organ injuries freak me out terribly

Hope the kid gets well soon, looks like a bad double break. Just hope there’s no ligament damage there as well.

Were you adjusting the vice with your non preferred hand?
