To be quite honest this could make us the same as break us but I’d rather be playing for our finals chance 3 weeks in a row to see how we mentally cope with it.

This is a great opportunity to see how mentally tough we are, can we force ourselves back into contention.

To he honest, we were never going to win the flag this year, and it's a pretty good year to have another top 10 draft pick in this KPP solid draft.
Naturally I would greatly prefer to make finals, but not going to be devestated if we don't.
That's footy, gotta take the rough with the smooth, granted we have been a bit unlucky, nothing we can do but hope lady luck smiles again in the next 3 weeks

aints playing cats (in geelong), broins (melbourne) and sydney in melb....game behind us with a lower %....so bit difficult for them to remain in top 8

1992 we were 14/6 with 2 rounds left, lost the last 2, fell out of the 6 with a 14/8 record.

yeah agree long term.
was being a bit sarcastic in a way...as in we dont stand up to expectations well.
lets hope we get at least 1 more win otherwise the ladder gets a bit tricky.

If we are playing in the first week of the finals, we earnt it. That's enough for me this year, if we don't then let the axes fall, and no one should be immune....

Porque no los dos? Two things can be true at the same time
1./ IMO Blues have shown a consistent lack of mental fortitude for weeks now. Last time team played 4 decent consistent quarters - vs Freo??
Too much of a discrepancy between best and worst from this team.
2./ Bradburying into 8th. Yeah. Nah. Death riding teams over next 3 weeks. Just for Blues to scrape into finals? Then flogged in our first final in 10 yrs because team is flaky, inconsistent and mentally weak.
Rather team finishes 9th/10th and rues a season where they had pitiful losses to Saints & Crows and drank their own bath water. Hope it haunts them.
Until team starts to develop that mental toughness to grind out matches and learn how to win at all costs, then IMO, (just) making finals is meaningless.

If we play finals, it's because we've earned it, not Bradburying anything. We have been sitting in the top 8 since Round 1.

I get we are moaning about our inconsistent form, but only 3 teams are reliably winning. Cats, filth and Melbourne. We are not at that level yet.
