Forgot it was Pendles' 400th. Don't think the stars could align any better for the Pies. If we can't get up for Cripps' 200th we sure as s**t won't get up for this.
I think people forget how even this competition is sometimes. You’re never as good as you think you’re going and never as bad either. Look at what sydney is getting today. A belting. If you don’t have your best players all firing and limited injuries you can get touched up by any of the top 10-12 sides. Collingwood have had injuries for most of the year and look how they’ve fallen away. They won the premiership last year in case anyone has forgotten.
Unfortunately we don’t have our best side out there and we’re battered and bruised leading into the end of the year. The biggest thing you need in AFL is luck. Nothing more nothing less.
This year has shown the AFLs equalisation model in all its glory. There’s no stand out teams. All teams apart from the bottom 3 are hard to beat and all you need to do to see that fact is look at the percentage of every side other than the bottom 3 - it is over 100 except for Essendon which is 95. It’s insane and as each club has now worked out the science of list management/high performance/strategy etc you’ll see this every year moving forward. There’ll only be 2 or 3 clubs rebuilding and everybody else will be around the mark.
Get used to this.

They 100% do as do we. Lions and Dogs definitely the IN FORM teams at the moment.
