Looks like a lot of reasonable names being thrown about for delisting that are still regulars in the side, also the willingness to speak of openly trading off such recent big name draftees too.

Wouldn't the club stick by Coad?? Wasn't he doing alright before he tore his hammy off??

Where has the 'Toy to Essendon' rumour come from?

Half arsed bullshit form the fact he was at PEGS, coached by Ken Fletcher and supported the Bombers as a kid.
Somehow that equates to him wanting to play for us.
Grain of salt comes to mind.

If Toy wanted to come back home to Essendon, what would you be willing to give to get him?
Or are you just not interested in getting another small defender type of player.

If he really is a defender and not a midfielder, we would surely be better looking elsewhere.

I swear every other post is like 'Swallow Ablett Day Bennell Toy hurrr hurrr'.

Will probably be 5 players that don't play this year.

Lock is a gold coaster so cant go back anywhere haha. However I agree he could leave to seek more opportunity as he will struggle to ever be in our best 22.

6 players I have identified that should be delisted come the end of 2011 are (senior only, no rookies):

Coad
Stanlake
Fraser
Keath
Nablett
Daye

All others should be safe, this creates 4 roster spots for draft picks etc.

Could trade off a few like Toy/Lock also for draft pick upgrades. We need to keep guys like Bennell/Gorringe though. Hard list management decisions will be made end of 2012, not 11.

What would the bombers fans be willing to give up for Toy?? GC really need key backs and the dons have quite a few good ones....... maybe Pears and Pick 20 for Toy might be fair??

Really not too sure who or what the WA teams would be will to give up for Bennell. As someone else has already mentioned Freo already have quite a few midfielders in Bennell's mould so maybe not much from them.

From us maybe Pick 21 + Mitch Brown/Scott Selwood....

Have to laugh at pick and Pears.

Not sure that Toy will be as good as Pears.

And you would think that EFC would target a young midfielder.

Josh Toy was as highly rated as David Swallow.
Was clear best of 12 17yos taken and would have pushed Swallow for #1 had it been an open draft.

Any club would have him and these dud trades offered up are laughable.

If Essendon want Toy, they'd be saying good bye to one of Pears or Ryder, and will be giving up their 1st rounder roo.

West Coast - say goodbye to Naitanui. (2nd Round and Selwood or Brown - please...).

I reckon Toy stays.
Is contracted next year and GC17 would have to agree to a trade - top offer is going to be decent.

Highly rated but so far struggled at AFL Level.

And is he a defender or midifelder.

Anyway happy with pears game today.

It doesnt help with Toy being played as a key defender in his few games so far this year....because he isnt one

Wow..
I think perhaps you're slightly overrating Toy there buddy..
Would you be happy with Kruzer or Yarran and a first rounder in a trade deal if carlton was after him??
I Think not.

Bennell and Suns 4th rounder for Dockers 1st rounder and Silvagni is what im hearing.

Shame to lose him but what can you do.

?? really. strange, freo have a heap of running players. i guess one more cant hurt when its talent its talent. freos first pick will be what?? 17-22? thats a good deal although i dont know much about silvagni.. what type of player is he?? suns should be going after a young shutdown fb, and another key defensive tall. the only 2 weaknesses on their list ( with bock getting on).

We'd be pretty stupid to get rid of SNOS. He's one of the only KPB's in waiting that we have considering our aging KP backline, pretty much the only KPB in the wings besides Faulks who up until now has looked every bit as integral to our side as Jack Anthony (Not at all - for those who are unsure).

I seriously doubt our list management guys would go for this.

What about a kid like caddy, bombers should be all over him. Would have him at north eventhough he is a inside midfielder. Can put bastinac on the half back

He's not. Toy was rated as a top 3-5 selection in a normal draft by almost all the draft experts. McKensie also was considered a likely top 5 selection in a normal draft. The Gold Coast will definetly not delist any top 10 pick or gun 17 year old selection. They made trade if they get something massive in return. Most likely delistings include players like N Ablett, Ah Chee, Rory Thompson, Marc Lock ect.

Someone who gets it! Nice. :D:thumbsu:

Not sure about Lock, but definitely those sort of players.

HANDS OFF!!! ;)

We've hardly seen anything from Josh yet ourselves because of a foot injury but he was tearing it up on the track prior to that. He's definitely considered a key part of our future midfield and there's no way we'll be letting him go.

if pafc dont get grundy as one of the under 17s im not averse to pafc offering our 1st pick , likely 6/8/10 to gc for gorringe and jolly. probably have to be something else if we wanted both.

may not go for it though

gc may not want the pick itself but could be traded for something they do want ie key defender compo picks etc

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but is Josh Fraser on a two year contract? Josh Fraser hasn't been in their best but I wouldn't be surprised if they keep him for experience while Zac Smith develops and their forward line develops. Going to be hard to make the decisions of who gets delisted but if some players want to be traded then it should make that decision easier.
