that's actually a really good trade for us pick 35 we won't use for the most wanted back up ruck in the game. shall we throw in a pick aswell to make it fair?
Did you forget how and what cost you got witts for?

You forgot about inflation thoughDid you forget how and what cost you got witts for?
Probably a bit different situation. Witts behind Grundy in prime and had no chance to become #1. Pies were OK to let him go. Moyle is not finished product but developing nicely. In 2 years taking over Witts is ideal scenario. Getting in some games like now. Suns pretty desperate to keep him as Witts could be breaking down. I suspect Moyle will stay. He likes it on GC. Dimma, Witts, Moyle will hammer out succession planDid you forget how and what cost you got witts for?
Just because Gold Coast got him for peanuts, doesn't mean they have to sell a player in a similar situation for peanuts too. They're allowed to demand whatever they can get.Did you forget how and what cost you got witts for?
Port had to overpay for soldo because he was contracted.na good point mate a trade that happened 7 years is totally relatable compared to the soldo trade which happened 6 months ago. i'll fire up the welcome to the club pick 35 (pass)
Suns more interested in futures picks imo if he goes. Several academy players to secure next year.
Yeah probably. If he goes.Future mid to late second should get it done.
So what? Each trade is individual. So if Suns let's say ask for late 1st round and the other side says no Suns will be only happy for Moyle to stay. Moyle excited to go through PSD and end up in North, Tigers, Eagles? I doubt.Port had to overpay for soldo because he was contracted.
Moyle is not.
Players entering the psd can nominate their contracts from memory, so while wce, north and richmond MAY be able to match, do they if its a big offer with how they may have structured their list payments? Its an unknown but moyle would have a modicum of control on it due to contract stipulationsSo what? Each trade is individual. It's all good we don't have our 2nd anyway. It would be Hawthorn's.that's actually a really good trade for us pick 35 we won't use for the most wanted back up ruck in the game. shall we throw in a pick aswell to make it fair?
Most players in his situation are not going to wait 2 years. There is a reason why he is OOC.Probably a bit different situation. Witts behind Grundy in prime and had no chance to become #1. Exactly. Ned has some way to go. Not ready for a full season as #1 ruck.Personally i think he signs
Which team does he go to where he is #1 Ruckman next year anyway
Us, if the rumour on our board of ROB wanting to go back to Melb is true (big, big if though)Personally i think he signs

Tbh he should be ahead of ROB anyway, if we landed him
Think we would give him a shot at it.Exactly. Ned has some way to go. Not ready for a full season as #1 ruck.
You can, and Gold Coast can say no, and he goes to North in the PSD.True.
We can still throw a tanty and demand the same terms though
ROB needs to return to Melbourne at some point in his life to finish his studies. We showed last week we prefer a SANFL standard ruckman to him. Moyle should be guaranteed first ruckman if he comes. Whether ROB decides to move or not because of that is on him.I wouldnt put much into Rumours
Why would a 29 year old still under contract want to leave a team that he has been at for 10+ years
Also Moyle looks good but doubt he is ready to take the #1 Ruck next year
Moyle is not a ready made Ruckman and probably 2-3 years away from being the Ruckman he will becomeROB needs to return to Melbourne at some point in his life to finish his studies. You realise the ball isn’t in the Suns court right? He’s out of contract. If another club comes knocking with an offer of almost guaranteed AFL games next year, plus presumably more money and years who is saying no to that?Im not sure where the talk of Moyle leaving has even come from, I'd be astounded if they let him go, was recruited to be next in line to Witts and hes 32 in September and had 3 or 4 injury niggles already this year.
Read is years away from being ready for senior footy and the jury is out if hes even a Ruckman at senior level.
