Not sure about the agent theory, but in general their stories are complete rubbish and false.

Yeah they're pretty far fetched most of the time but I looked into it on Stoke forums and he scored against the lowly Newcastle Town and impressed as a late sub in a 1-0 loss to Aldershot

Bizarre move if he does imo. If he isn't going to play in Europe he would be better off playing here in the A-League while he is still part of the Socceroo's structure. But no doubt its all for the money and not the football.

The guy is an idiot. He was captain of his premier league club and on a good salary, but it wasn't enough apparently. Then the disastrous move to turkey and now to where....

Not to mention turning down Liverpool and Champions League football for a bigger salary at West Ham.

I have total respect for Lucas Neill and his service he has given for the national team, but his club choices and actions have been nothing short of deplorable and he is clearly a dollar-chaser.

It appears Matthew Leckie got on the park ('81) for Borussia Monchengladbach last night. They beat Wolfsburg 4-1, 'gladbach did not add to their score after Leckie's entrance.

Bresciano and Grella are both in the extended squad for the Thailand game.

Do not want.

Bresciano may still be ok depth but going towards the next world cup would prefer opportunities for the younger attacking mids and we've looked much better with a proper left sided player in McKay.

I know its ony Thailand and we should beat them with no issues but having those two in the squad makes no sense to me. Grella is a hack these days and to be honest was never really that good. Bresciano i can accept more because he does have some skill although i think he doesn't have what it takes to play at national level anymore.

Shane Lowry is getting interest from Ipswich for a loan move and Rhys Williams in getting interest from Wolves and Bolton... according to tribal football

Special mention to Chris Herd who put a man of the match performance in against Wolves for Villa (and put his head on the line also!!). Will take Emmo's place at RB for the Socceroos in the future I'd assume.
Now that Luke Young's gone, he'll have plenty of chances to impress but isn't our RB Wilkshire.

Sorry forgot about Wilko, he will be about 31/32 when Brazil 2014 comes around and will undoubtedly retire post WC. Perhaps Herd has a role playing at CB for us?

Matthew Leckie got 15-20 mins off the bench in Borussia Monchengladbach 1-0 defeat to Schalke

Great to see Chris Herd play so weel on the weekend, I imagine he will bepart of some NT squads at some stage in the near future, even if just for the experience. Some of our young guys seem to be really stepping up to the plate for their clubs though.

If he's playing full matches in the EPL he won't be in there for experience, he'l be starting 11.

Anyone good enough for regular EPL gametime is good enough for the Socceroos. If Herd can play regularly at Villa then we can play Herd at RB, move Wilkshire to the left and that solves a few problems.
Let's hope he can maintain his place in their side.

If all goes to plan stick Herd in at RB and have Wilks in the midfield to replace the cart hoese Jedinak or at Left back so replace no one. Trouble is Olger seems to like Jeds and does have height but not much else. The future's bright!
