Aussie girls are looking down the barrel now from a poor last session by our bowlers after a brilliant spell by Ash Gardner had put us into the contest at 7 down. But the Indian girls bat deep with Deepti Sharma closing that door by stumps....

Question, is their a valid reason why the Indian girls are playing in front of empty stands. I find it bizarre given the huge cricket mad crowds that attend male Test matches.

The men's Tests against us were played in front of fairly empty houses (aside from that weird Modi rally). As I understand it, Indian grounds do little for the comfort of spectators and they sell tickets per Test rather than per day. What is way more important in India is how many people are watching on TV/stream - that's where the money comes from. The crowd is window dressing for TV.

Isn't Wankhede the stadium where there's basically no toilets, you have to go down to level 1 and leave the stadium to take a piss?

Haven't heard that, but it lines up with what I have heard about Indian cricket stadia.
Had a old work colleague who lived over there for a bit and went to the cricket regularly, they told me so could be a complete crock but it seems like it's pretty on brand.

Pumping both England and Australia within 2 weeks. Is India women's team on their way up or have the Anglo teams not been able to handle a test in these conditions?
Good ol' Indian conditions. So far removed from our conditions, English conditions and probably even other subcontinent conditions. You have to really prepare in the subcontinent at least for quite a long while facing spin. Get nothing like this at home to practice. We know too India will make sure the tracks are in their favour as much as possible too, as we found in February.

Still, if we didn't sweep ourselves to death in the 2nd Test in that 2nd innings we may have won that Test.

That's one of those innings where you just know there was something going on behind the scenes. It made no sense, none of those players are that aggressive in trying new strategies like that. Wonder if it will come out in 10 years time

I think we'll come back pretty hard in the batting this innings - at least I hope so. Last innings was unusually bad for us with the bat, we've had a couple days on the pitch now to get used to it

Will be a spin fest now. Can the Stars handle the pressure.

Oh no Mooney. What was she thinking.

Litchfield looked so comfortable why would she try such a risky shot.

England would sook up a storm if one of their batters got out the way Mooney did. This has been a test to forget for the Belinda Clark Medalist.
They probably think Mooney should have just sprinted through the umpire so they couldn't raise their finger
