I think the only reason Ishant is still there is because he is tall, incredibly tall for an Indian. (He gets his bat specially made).

He's actually improved a lot and has been bowling well in the past 12 months. In six Tests this year, he has 29 wickets at an average of 26.13 and a strike rate of 45.7, with three 5-fers.

He's been around forever, but he's still only 26 years old, too.
