Saw they're going with Ugg vs. Janela in Sydney too. Hope Rat Daddy gets a showing on one of these cards if he's healthy.

I'm glad I got the heads up yesterday that Colosseum tickets had gone on sale early. (They were still saying 10am Tuesday in a tweet this morning when they'd already been on sale for over 12 hours!)

I bought front row for both nights, and they're now sold out.

I don't have accommodation, I don't know how I'm getting to Sydney... but hey, I got the tickets to see ZSJ! They're doing a convention type thing on the Sunday, which I ordinarily would've been super, super keen on, but I just have too many people to see when I go to Sydney, I couldn't go and commit a whole 30 hour period to wrestling. Especially the friends with kids, it's harder to catch them on Saturday than it is during the week with dancing/swimming/gymnastics/tae kwan do, so Sunday is really it.

Just discovered this forum, hi everybody.

I didn’t realise there were so many people into the Aussie wrestling scene. I used to go all the time pre covid, as it was local I attended every Thornbury MCW show from 2011-Ballroom Brawl 2021. So many great memories.

Can’t wait to talk wrestling with everyone.

Carter Deams apparently announced his retirement tonight. I'm so bummed about that, I'm such a fan of his, and his axe kick is one of the best moves in Australian wrestling.

I was watching the Newy Pro show last week when he hurt himself, it looked like a bad elbow dislocation coming off the top rope with a splash, and he took off straight to the back after it happened. (Funnily enough, Braxton hit a couple more moves and won the titles for him and Deams, so Carter retires as Newy Pro tag champ.)

What happened to Rat Daddy?
I’ve no idea - just observing that he closed his social media a while ago, is barely taking any bookings now (none upcoming) and lost the ROW title on a non-ROW show. I wonder if it’s a hiatus or something more permanent.

Does anyone know what I should expect from the GCW meet and greet? I've never been to one, although I imagine it'll be similar to WSW if anyone has been to those?

Is it the case where you've paid 30 bucks to get in, and then you'll pay for everything - pics, autos, hellos - as well? Got a couple of things I'd like to get signed, but most of them are just sentimental - they aren't necessarily things that will increase in value by 10 bucks by having an auto on it.

In other shitty news, Riot City announced on FB tonight that Banjo Powers had suffered a major injury at tonight's show. I've heard from a couple of people tonight and it doesn't appear to be a work, apparently he landed on his head and neck. Fingers crossed everything is ok.

The GCW shows are showing on FITE @ 9am the morning after the show. So a quick turnaround, and those of us in Melbourne will have the chance to see the Sydney show beforehand.

Ticket sales in Melbourne look great, should be an electric show.

I hope whoever is minding Maki Itoh shows her around for a couple of touristy things, instead of leaving her in the hotel, since she’s self conscious of her English and not being able to make friends.
Is she or is that her social media persona used to get people to feel connected to her and spend $?

They haven’t packed them in super tight in Sydney when you consider the top 2 seating tiers sold out.

That said, I hope they do similar in Melbourne, the claustrophobia at Thornbury stops me sitting at the front for MCW any more.

The timing of this tour ended up a bit sucky personally. A change in medication has had me vomiting for 48 hours with no signs of it stopping.

I was thinking about taking a bag for any merch I buy tomorrow… turns out I’ll need vomit bags.

Just do long as I don’t get them mixed up!
