Not too long ago heads would have dropped seeing the oppo pepper the goals, and we never would have stayed close enough to them in that early period to even come close to fighting it out. But we kept fighting on and we got the result. If you keep trying, things can happen. Maybe luck plays a part, maybe the opposition shoots themselves in the foot, but if we weren't actively hunting the win the whole time then we woudn't have snatched it at the end.
