Ukraine and Croatia have engaged in discussions to bolster Europe’s energy security, particularly by utilizing Ukraine’s vast underground gas storage facilities.

“This concerns the use of Ukraine’s gas storage facilities, which are the largest in Europe, with a capacity of 31 billion cubic meters. These storages can serve as a reliable gas vault for Europe, where Croatia could store its own gas reserves. I am confident this area of cooperation holds significant potential,” Shmyhal [Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal] stated.

Recently, Ukraine and Poland announced plans to establish an Eastern European Gas Hub, aimed at securing gas supplies from alternative, non-Russian sources.

Addressing the Bundestag this week as part of events to mark 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz, Schwarzman accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of attempting to "destroy" Ukraine as a nation. "Back then, Hitler wanted to kill me because I am Jewish. Now Putin wants to kill me because I am Ukrainian."

In reality, however, the war unleashed by Putin in February 2022 was never about limited territorial gains. From the very beginning, it has been a war to extinguish Ukrainian independence entirely.

The US is deluded if it thinks it can make a peace deal with Russia without Ukraine and Europe being involved, but under donny the US has become very delusional.

I'm not reading a lot into it yet. Does not actually seem to be peace talks, seems more to be pre-peace talks. As far as I can tell, there are separate meetings on the cards, to thrash out how to get Putin's mobsters and Zelenskyy's folks together for talks, sometime in near future.

Nearly everything said in the Trump camp conflicts with the next thing said or dribbled. That could be that Trump and his mob are nutcases, or it could be that all stances are relevant within their own specific contexts. I'm gambling on both.

Loved that Zelenskyy heard the US propositions and turned to Europe asking "riiiiiight ... so anyone else wanna make a bid?".

There's not much doubt about it tho, Trump's team is all about the grift!
