Currently have: Ablett, Bartel, Boyd, Cooney, Dal Santo

Now leaning towards another saints player due to their draw.

Either Hayes or Montagna?

Hmm tough decisions.

If you don't have Swan and Ablett they are the obvious choices. I have both plus Bartel (and Hodge) so that probably rules out me getting Selwood also.

Montagna is also a gun and might be a decent straight swap depending on his score tomorrow. Or Hayes.

That said, Judd is as cheap as he's going to get so it is tempting to take him and pocket the cash for other upgrades.

Devastated for the kid but life must go on.

Currently have Swan, Bartel, Selwood, Pendles and Kade Simpson. Have 9 trades and can afford anyone so thinking of Boyd/Ablett/Montagna or Hayes.

Embarrassment of riches I suppose

Montagna for me, as I already have Ablett, Swan and Boyd. For anyone who hasn't seen a close up of the incident, here it is (I don't think legs are meant to be a right angles quite like that....):

My dilemma is Montagna or Boyd???

Would go Monty if it werent for the fact that that he might get rested like last year.......

Whats the chance of him being rested???

....BACCS that looks SOO painful :(:(:(

I can't see that happening with the ladder a little tighter at the top than previous years.

Midfield is: Swan, Ablett, Bartel, Boyd, Gibbs, Barlow.

Leaning towards Hayes or Montagna. Chapman maybe, but does everyone trust his hammies? I sure don't....

Chappy would add a nice DP link though. Might be worth the risk.

My Midfield was; Swan, Gablett, Montagna, Bartel, J.Selwood, and Barlow.

Might get someone who can DP into the backs as well, or might just splash the cash and get the best.

I agree. Ditto Geelong players.

I think I may get Montagna if his price comes down a bit (hopefully he only gets 110 today then it will drop a bit) although Judd is also good.

I am just going to find it hard with only 2 trades next week, one for Barlow, downgrades, Brown and Fyfe probably out injured, and still have Muston (sorry Gysberts). Being able to use another 5 or 6 trades can't come soon enough. Sigh.

Freo have a seven day break so I'm going to hang on to Barlow and see if he pulls up for the Richmond game before I pull the trigger on a (possibly) needless trade.

You've got to be kidding, have a good look at that photo his leg is bent at right angles and it is not at the knee.
There is no way he will play again this season IMO.

It certainly looks like an N G Brown type Broken leg. He did his in round 10 of 2005 and was back for round 1 the following season.

Given that Barlow's younger and we're not sure of the severity of the break, you'd think he'll be fine for a round 1 start next year. To even think about playing him again this year would be crazy, if the injury is as bad as that photo would suggest.

PS. Looking at the photo almost made me bring up my lunch.

Feel so sorry for Barlow, that photo shows that it is pretty bloody serious. I can't see Freo risking him again this year even if he does get up.

Seriously though, I reckon Palmer broke his leg on purpose so he might still have a chance of having a better debut season that Barlow ;) (we all know thats not true though).

My thoughts with the trade is that I will go to Ablett or Goddard. Regret not picking God at the start of the year as a defender and this will give me some DP flexability. Ablett is sure to be rested at some point during the last month and I can see it happening round 22 if Geelong have the top spot sewn up (away against WC).

With me also having Neon Leon on my mids bench providing some cover in the forward line, I reckon that Goddard could be the way to go as It gives me the option of covering my backline as well. Looking at Goddards last month- Port, North, Richmond and Adelaide - I reckon he will smash it up against those team, but the question is will he get rested? Hmm, Just some food for thought

My midfield is currently Swan, Montagna, Selwood, Judd, Goodes and of course Barlow.

So the obvious options are GAJ or Boyd (would lean towards GAJ), or I can take a unique option and pick up Corey (assuming he pulls up ok today). No one in my league has Corey and as I'm looking for a league win I will probably go that option, come the end of the season I would think that he would be the last midfielder bomber would think of resting!
