Dwarshuis hit 20 and I’m not actually sure he knew where any of his shots went. So yeah pretty confident Marsh would’ve made a difference tonight

Generous the bloke looks as cooked as a waghu steak

I swear that every Scorchers gameday thread is filled with your complaints about how everything is unfair and how the Scorchers would win every match if everything went their way.

Perhaps there are some occasions where the opposition simply played better.

Righto so, so far we’ve copped Rutherford, Sutherland, Tom f*cking Rogers season best games with the bat after looking atrocious all year, then a Smith and Abbott return game while Marsh sits out.

We haven’t been at our best but have been good enough to win all 3 games, including tonight, given it took a blokes 120 to beat us by 15 runs.

But if you were good enough you would have won the games against the Thunder and the Gades. Not so much today but there's nothing unfair about the Sixers beating the Scorchers.

9 times out of 10 those other results go our way. I remember watching both games thinking how arsey can a batting side get.

Tonight we were chasing too many and just copped a good player returning to bully the domestic league which you can’t do heaps about.

Complaining Abbott played when all he is for Australia is a glorified bench warmer is a bit of a laugh.
Richardson played and he’s been doing the same gig as Abbott so is that unfair.
Smith playing is awesome for the competition and no it’s not a joke, Carey played tonight, Usman and Marnus are playing for the heat in coming days, Webster is playing.
Let’s cut the poor Scorchers crap they could still win the title the season is that close.

Steve Smith return to T20i looks almost guaranteed now. The fact that national selectors have tried different batting squads without him but achieved nothing lately means they will have to bring him back in. Gave another excuse last night.
