If TDK goes, I think he's in. If we have a good year I think he'd take less to play in a good side with his brother. Even if TDK stays, I think we are in with a chance. Martin is now on virtual peanuts, Gov is out of contract (though if he plays a full year like he did at the end of last year, he'll command 75-80 percent of the 700 odd he is on. Zac Williams was front loaded but not to the same degree as Martin but it helps. All of our 'stars' are locked in at below 900k. I think we are a chance.

I have heard the boys are warming to playing together too. Even with all that we would be offering less than other clubs though. We need a good season for it to be a reality.

Don't get why some are getting ansy in here.

If Ben wants to leave, he will leave. No club is matching unless they are at the other end of the table and the compensation would be less than a possible trade.

We wouldn't have that problem more than likely.

He hasn't signed an extension and is entering the last season of his deal, naturally there will be talk.

I daresay the first 5-6 rounds will determine his decision, if there's no major improvement, he will probably look to move on and play in a finals side, with Carlton being an obvious one. I wouldn't begrudge him that, honestly. He deserves to play finals footy, hopefully it is with us though...

No doubt he will demand a Band 1 style contract, as he was the leading intercept defender in the league last year.

What sort of comp pick would you expect them to receive? I doubt it would be Band1... but I guess it depends on what sort of money we are talking about. I think Band one would require 800 or something like it...anything less and its band 2 which is end of R1 ... and for that North probably match to get your R1
