Is it right that Maddern was gifted a 50m penalty to get his 100th? Well deserved either way.

Yes Maddern did get a fifty one of his team mates(Doherty maybe) was taunting a Burra player and got knocked down sending Harry to 1m out!

I heard it was his old mate from Bendigo Bombers times Josh Bowe who accidentally-on purpose ran across the mark, giving Harry a soda for his 100th.

It was late in the game and the result was beyond doubt so it's a reasonable thing to do :thumbsu:

Unlike Clarkson who sent numbers back (including Roughead) to stop Fev from getting his 100. Unnecessary, dog act IMO.

I would never want an opposition player to kick his ton against me no matter what-Even if it was my best friend.

Weeksy had 3 drop back on him against Castlemaine. And so they should of.

FLY ... how do we know Hoops isn't Sammy Fotu in real life :D
He knows a fair bit about 3bo comings and goings

:thumbsu:That said its a reasonable bet bo will be good in the sat nite finals coming up ... even if we get the bald nut on the boundary agen

I'm loving seeing you still sucking dogs over an ex player not being able to achieve an individual accomplishment in what is a team game.

Buddy's 100 goals - meh.

Hawthorn's 10th premiership - take it any day of the week.

Enjoy whatever it is you do.

The 3BO boys will be right they do a good job. It's only a matter of time until Sammy Fotu gives you a liverpool kiss Hoops! :D

haha, unlikely DF, Sammy and I get along well... besides..by the time he found a step to stand on to deliver the kiss....Id have probably wandered off...

The ADDY and WIN will confirm this in 4 weeks time.

Confirmed around lunchtime today on BO.

As for being sacked, not sure the wording there is quite accurate.

Clints coaching contract wont be renewed, as opposed to him having another year to go and being told he is not wanted. The Storm have already started to recieve applications for the gig from what I understand.
After 2 years and the tough task of leading a club starting from scratch, Whitsed has done a great job...but I think its a good move from the Stormers.
Hopefully they jag a big name coach who can inject some experienced quality KPP's to compliment there youth.

Stiff I reckon, thought he had done a great job..

Agree, which is what I stated in my previous post.

Clint was definately the right man for the job first up, and 10 wins in 2 years is certainly a pass mark, even better than that.

But, like Roota said, the lure of attracting a big name coach (playing or non-playing) would be huge, I doubt the Storm have a shortage of $'s to spend, and to keep the forward momentum of the club going they need to be progressive and proactive in luring some big names to compliment there impressive list of young up and comers.

One thing is for sure, going to be a lot of new faces at the helm of a lot of BFL clubs in 2011!

What about South tonight? Coburn seems like a decent bloke to me, and no doubt he's switched on but if South cannot perform in finals, year after year with the team they have, does his coaching come under the microscope? They had four big inclusions, and some very good players running round in the scoobies, what else do they need? The player stocks they have are what most clubs would dream of, so what are they accepting these kind of results for?
Perhaps they will prove me wrong and go on from here, but still the ledger will be lopsided when it comes to finals football.

Yeah, but he's taking on a Filo coached side - don't discount the power of Derrick my friend - can coach.

They are up to this as far as their necks.

mates told me electronically it was the hawks nite
18.12 or 18.13 to souths 13.5

they also sed sth could have had a cuppla late w/drawals or else 1 or 2 didn't come up but they still copped a nice old touchup dont say the red n whites r going to go out early agen ??

Don't think so. From what I have heard he will get a gig on a list elsewhere in the AFL.

If I was in a recruiting position at a local club i'd be having a big go at a bloke like Corey Jones. Is a good local product who always enjoyed getting back around the area

think Corey would play in Wyche if he was going to play anywhere up this way

Not any late withdrawls, they named a very extended bench...they lost Michael Leech to a hamstring (in second term perhaps) when he looked pretty menacing..then lost Shaun Bergin to a shoulder. Also Daniel Nalder got hurt and returned.
I think we all forget that EHawk were really coming at South in that home and away game at QEO when Crawford gave up 100ms and they just unravelled....

What's everyones thoughts about moving all the finals out to Strathfieldsaye to keep the QEO in good nick until Grand Final day??? I think it's something the League should seriously look at if they already haven't?
