It is interesting, i thought he was a good BFL thirdsmplayer but didn't think a great deal of him. Good on him though.

Whats sad?
The fact that i said Tarrants first quartre was as good as ive seen in tac cup? he had 17 touches including 6 marks 2 tackles and a goal and the goal was 45m out on the boundry with his left foot. I dont know if you have seen better stats then that for a first quatre in a tac cup game but its unfair to dismiss him as a footballer because is last name is tarrant.
I cant wait for you to be proven wrong over the next 3 years.

i also agree with Tacupwatcher. have seen pleanty of Tac cup matches in past years and this kid was so dominant in was beyond a joke. only thing that could be said against him was his occasional waste of the ball when he had it, but overall was a brilliant quarter and game by him, should definately be seeing him go first round

mate whats in matter if people are "newbies", have u seen him play in any practise matches or the season opener last week? obviously guessing that you didnt?
I doubt tarrant got 17 touches in the first quarter mate! also blair holmes has gone off the boil hasnt he?? personally i think he is no good anymore! doesnt man up and junk disposals when he gets the ball! how is matt lehane playing but more to the point getting in the best?

did u see the game? i would say very close to 17 touches,
i tend to agree with u on blair, at under 16 level looked like a certainty to go but a very dissapointing last season and a somewhat poor start to this season has been dissapointing as his potential is huge
and lehane was in the best i believe for his holding job on his opponant, didnt get overly many touches but stopped his opponant

Well the Pioneers Stats and Champion Data stats both say he had 17 touches and i was at the game and it certainly seemed like he got alot of the sherrin so it would seem you are wrong. Lehane played a great game, to play Tac Cup footy you dont havta be flashy or a great athlete as long as your good at your possition, and Lehane held down his postion well spoiling and often out marking his oppenent. Tarrant is exceptional.
I watched a game last year for College where he took 7 marks in the first quarter and kicked 5 goals against very good opposition. When he is on, he is unstoppable. He will definately be drafted and IMO 1st or 2nd round.

Always thought Rob Tarrant was going to be an AFL-prospect. I think alot of people judging him early on forgot he was a tall forward and as we know talls take a while to develop. Maybe now he has only just finally developed. At 6-5ish and 90 odd kgs its hard to see clubs overlook him. The Tarrant name also helps him not hinders him IMO. Chris can be a very good player.

whats everyones thoughts on the start to the year the pioneers have had?? personally they have shocked me, start of the year i thought maybe could just scrape into finals if they r lucky but they are 2 and 1 from their opening 3 games and the loss to sandringham could be put down do one quarter of football.. i thought the win over gippsland was exceptional and shows they have a lot of quality to deal with this year
No good you say! you must be kidding yourself have you not looked at the stats from the weekend he only had a lazy 35 possies. i herd it rained al game as well. thats a fair effort.
