B: Bews Blicavs Taylor
HB: Tuohy Henderson Stewart
C: Duncan Kelly Parfitt
HF: Menegola Ratugolea Rohan
F: Ablett Hawkins Dahlhaus
R: Stanley Dangerfield JSelwood
I: Henry SSelwood CGuthrie Cockatoo

At the start of the season I had it as:

B: Bews, Blicavs, Tuohy
HB: Stewart, Henderson, Kolodjashnij
C: Duncan, J.Selwood, Kelly
HF: Menegola, Hawkins, Parfitt
F: Rohan, Ratugolea, Dahlhaus
R: Stanley, Dangerfield, Ablett
Int: Cockatoo, C.Guthrie, S.Selwood, Narkle

Even if Henderson, Bews, Cockatoo and S.Selwood were available now I think I'd prefer:

B: O'Connor, Blicavs, Tuohy
HB: Stewart, Taylor, Kolodjashnij
C: Duncan, J.Selwood, Kelly
HF: Menegola, Hawkins, Parfitt
F: Rohan, Ratugolea, Dahlhaus
R: Stanley, Dangerfield, Ablett
Int: Miers, C.Guthrie, Constable, Clark

I'm at the point where I will need to see Cockatoo actually string some games together before I can have him dislodging any of that side.

Cockatoo shouldn't get a look in until he plays 5-10 full VFL games non managed

Pretty similar.. MOC and Miers have done very well..better than i gave them credit for.. It could get tricky once we start getting a few back

HB: Tuohy - Taylor - Clark
C: J. Selwood - Constable - Duncan
HF: Ablett - Hawkins - Parfitt
F: Atkins - Ratugolea - Rohan
R: Stanley - Kelly - Dangerfield
I: Henry - Dalhaus - Menegola - Cockatoo
E: Brownless - Guthrie - Henderson

Now..
B: OConnor - Blicavs - Stewart

HF: Ablett - Hawkins - Parfitt
F: Atkins - Ratugolea - Rohan
R: Stanley - Kelly - Dangerfield

No Kolo in either is no good.

I haven't posted on Bigfooty in years so maybe I'm out of touch, but how is it that everyone has Esava in the first team? He has been dismal all year, dropping marks, shanking kicks and averaging less than ten touches a game. Every time he gets near the ball he looks "athletic" but has he done anything to justify being a lock in as one of the two big forwards? Even Taylor has looked ten times more dangerous in the forward line and I am generally opposed to that option.

Don't want to drop a lot of negativity when we are going so well but I'm just wondering if I'm missing something here...

He's playing for Australia?
Yeah, still stuck in cricket season. My bad.

But let's be honest. He has kicked one goal this year and averages like seven possessions. He has helped out in the ruck but only contributes 6 hit outs a game and has looked pretty clueless around the ground. I get that he is young and I get that we have a winning formula, but I feel that we won't be able to carry him deep into the season if he is still playing so poorly in such an important position.

You might be right. I reckon he'll get a couple more, but it's hard to see a direct replacement who will perform better.
Henderson coming in could see Harry go to the forward line?
Not sure if that's preferable to persisting with Esava or not.

Bews, Kolo, Stewart
Tuohy, Henry, Blicavs
Duncan, J.Selwood, Kelly
Dahlhaus, Ratugolea, Menegola.
Ablett, Hawkins, Rohan
F: Stanley, Danger, Parfitt.
Int: Fogarty, Scooter, Cocky, Narkle.
Em:Constable, Oconnor, Abbott, Cunico.

I'll stick with this Dec22 post but could just as easily drop Cocky/Fog/Narkle for Constable/OConnor/Miers

I think about half the team (bold) are undroppable with almost no chance of changing this season. Another nine (blue) are well cemented but a run of bad form could conceivably see things change before the end of the season. The last few places are still sorting themselves out, but I lean towards the guys I've selected, particularly because I see younger guys or those with injury-interrupted seasons struggling to keep pace as the season wears on.

Best 22:

FB: O'Connor Blicavs Henry
HB: Stewart Taylor Touhy
C: Duncan Kelly J.Selwood
HF: Ablett Rategolea Dahlahus
FF: Rohan Hawkins Miers
R: Stanley, Dangerfield, C.Guthrie
Int: Parfitt, Menegola, Atkins, Kolodjashnij

In the mix: Constable, Clarke, S.Selwood, Fogarty, Cockatoo, Henderson, Z.Guthrie, Bews, Fort

I’m not even sure Bews is “in the mix” any more
Add to that, Buzza, Smith, Abbott, Jones, Narckle, Simpson, Parsons, Hendo, Scooter
