You literally said that your list was referencing what players had done and their potential, then you bring a popularity contest to the equation and ignore the two brutes with the most potential in the comp.
17002408-526D-44A5-B088-AF445953AEDB.png This is the AFL Coaches Association Best young player award, they’re holding a pretty good track record. Is this the popularity contest you speak of?

Has to be one of the worst "lists" I've seen in some time.

Matt Rowell is nowhere near Will Ashcroft. Not even in the same galaxy.

And why do they always put Anderson and Rowell together?.. they aren't linked as some double DNA blob.

Ashcroft is the youngest AFL norm smith winner and has played just over a season of footy. Will explode over the next few seasons. Sneaky chance for the Brownlow. Also expect Levi to be in this list next year.

Sheezel has Daicos covered comfortably at the same age
Lol what!? Daicos would have walked in the Brownlow in his second season had he not missed all those games at the end of that year.

On no planet was Sheezel “comfortably better” than a Brownlow quality season this year.

Absurdly preposterous claim.

Sheezel's a very good young player but overrated by quite a few.

His little gotcha moment is that Daicos is born at the start of the year, hence was 19 for his first season, whilst Sheezel was born late in the year and therefore 18 for his first season and 19 for his second season.

It will be interesting to see how the narrative changes when he assesses Jagga's start to his career, who will also be 19 years old when he takes to an AFL field for the first time.

That would take someone to proclaim a player being the all time GOAT, which no one would be stupid enough to do so, 2 seasons in 😉

Remember this?

Not lying are you?

"I'm predicting it is a matter of when, not if, we're anointing Nick Daicos as the AFL GOAT."
Oh.

So that's someone 'proclaiming Daicos as the all time GOAT two seasons in'?

See... 'predicting someone will be the GOAT' is very different to 'proclaiming someone is the GOAT'.

Comprehension.... is important.

Queensland is overrated. Hot, crap in the ocean that bites you, strong currents which make it dangerous, lots of cane toads... lots of scummy bogans and humid beyond an acceptable level. Disastrously Crap coffee and food and expensive to do normal things. No mountains or cool changes and full of retirees who are angry and can't drive. The women are also more matey, not as good looking. Nicer, but if you want to be romantically with your mates, it's a free country, I guess.

The fact you can argue on who missed out - not to mention Nic Martin who had a great year; shows that the comp is in a good position with kids U25 at this point in time.
You probably could name a top 50. No point arguing who is best or not. Appreciate all of their contributions to their clubs, to the league.
