It was Simon Madden level and more.

He was never better than that year, and nor was anyone else

Then there’s the matter of the finals and the halftime lift when he threw off the knee guard

Rehn was a surly, unpleasant bloke off the field; but damn he could play

Tough one.

Rehnny as a young ruck in the first 3 years very impressive and showed tons of class for a 200cm big man. 1994 Had a break out year. Dominating ruck. But as a team we sucked that year. We all know 1995 and 1996 with two ACL's. Then to come back in 1997 and play a huge part of out two premierships and have an outstanding 1998 season. Fourth in the Brownlow.

Rutten our best ever full back. Never beaten. Played a lot longer then Rehnny due to Rehns injuries. 200+games.

As in, someone told me a story once that they asked for his autograph, and he just wrote X.

Think it was during his knee rehab where he was particularly narky though.
