Sri Lanka building a highway against Ireland is one of the stupidest things ever and in terms of getting an easy win and easy point in the WTC it might back fire on em. Good on the Irish getting the runs they did tho.

Funnily enough Sri Lankan opener scored his maiden 100 which is a double hundred and I doubt he’d ever best that or even score another test 100View attachment 1671939
3/704 looks good now with Ireland 2/54 at stumps.

I like Broady, good competitor and great bowler. Stirring some s**t before it gets underway. Love it.
Gives as good as he gets with the banter. Although my favourite Broad memory is when he spent 10 minutes shitting his daks and complaining about the sightscreen while Johnson was waiting to bowl, then getting castled first ball.

Pretty impressive knock from Jaiswal in the match last night. Looks a future gun opener for India to pair with Gill

9 first-class hundreds in his first 15 games. Averages 80. Dominating IPL at 21. India are going to have a fair old conveyor belt of stars coming through.

They have a population of 1.4 billion and cricket is bigger than religion. It's a genuine surprise they don't dominate everyone, all the time.
They've just (or just about to) surpass China as the most populous nation on Earth. The issue is probably that most of the populace lives in poverty. But yeah, on a numbers basis you're still gonna get a few hundred million people to choose a team from.

I remember the good old days of bagging out David when he played for the scorchdogs. What a career trajectory since
Hopefully Hardie is following something similar. It took me a while to realise Hardie was same age as Green but he was played a lot when he shouldn't have. I wonder if Cooper gets a look in next year if Scorchers have close to full set up. Think after his final heroics he deserves to start.

Say what you like about John Howard (and many on here do!), he genuinely loved his cricket.

The PM's II was a real thing for him. Unlike some others who didn't know the first thing about cricket and had the staff select the team. Then they'd show up for the toss, go away and come back (maybe) for the presentation.

That's what makes the clip so funny. He bowls like someone who's never seen cricket before.

Maybe I am missing something but even if Neser and Bancroft missed the Ashes squad, since they are playing county cricket this season it is no big deal for Australia to call them up at a moment's notice during the WTC/Ashes?

hopefully insert name of underperforming bowler steps on a ball during warmups and we can rush Neser in.
