Selectors go by the mantra of "If at first you don't succeed, and you also fail the next ten times, back yourself in"
I look forward to Stuart Broad owning Warner for the first few Tests, only for Harris to replace him as a like for like replacement. And Stuart Broad laughing his backside off.

Only 4 pace bowlers, plus all-rounders? Seems light on with our injury record (no, I'm not referring to West Coast). I'm expecting someone else (Neser? Johnson?) to get a callup before the end of the ashes. Only two of Harris, Bancroft, Renshaw and Handscomb were going to get picked, and all are about equally good, but I'm a little surprised they went with both of the left-handers. Makes me think that both Marsh and Inglis are closer to a game than might be expected, especially if they think Renshaw belongs as an opener rather than in the middle order.

Sorry Ochre, I couldn't resist

Would love to see him get a tour to England. His bowling is super handy over there. Very unlikely to pan out though.

Green has the red ball all rounder spot locked and Hardie's a decent back up. Mitch should just focus on being one of the best white ball bats in the world.

Harris and Warner don’t exactly fill me with confidence. Would’ve thought Bangers over Renshaw or Harris. Neither have done much for Aus and Bangers has been winning titles for fun.
Harris has been smashing County attacks and Renshaw made runs on the A tour to NZ. I guess they rated that over Bancroft's consistent dominance all summer. Perhaps there is also some leftover baggage from sandpapergate as well?

Green is good enough to be picked as a bowler so 5 including him.

Unless Carey gets injured or falls off a cliff, can't see Carey playing.
Same for Marsh.

I'm a big Mitch fan but not as a test cricketer.

Bangers stiff.
Must've been close between him and Harris but Harris is one of the worst fielders going around.

Plenty of Australian Cricketers already over in Pommyland and doing well in County Cricket, I am sure that the selectors will also have an eye on them should reinforcements be needed.

As much at it shits me ( as I am not a fan of his ) the comment above about Harris doing well in County Cricket is true.

I actually think Boland will be a tricky prospect on English Wickets and I am also looking forward to seeing how Green performs on the Pommy decks.

I hope Boland gets a number of Tests. Not sure who would be left out though.

Hopefully a coach gets hold of Green and tells him not to try banging it in on pommy decks. Nice full length, get them coming forward.

Yeah I know, just thought Bangers deserved it. Maybe WA bias.
Thought Renshaw was awful in India where he was meant to be a spin specialist.
Not sure how an A tour outweighs winning Shield finals

TBF to Renshaw, he's an opening bat.
Coming in at 5 on bunsen burners isn't really his go.

I still think he's a better option than Harris or Banners.

So they chose Morris for India and made him miss months out of shield cricket and now over look him for the Ashes where he is way more suited to the conditions.
