I thought the technology was pretty much to eliminate howlers.

We've gotten to the stage where rather than just seeing if the ball hit the ground, they keep replaying it to see if it grazes a blade of grass.
This was the first instance of a catch being reviewed without the soft decision first. I wonder if this is a precedent being set, where the 3rd umpires will give these close ones out and only give not out to the absolute clear-cut ones.

Not sure.

Richard Kettleborough is an excellent umpire.
Think there's a few who would've given that not out and went in India's favour.

We’ve been in control of this match ever since the Head/Smith partnership on day one

However, a poor opening session on day 3 that saw them put on 100+ for the 7th wicket from 6-152 - a phase which saw a regulation catch dropped and a wicket overturned due to a no ball - left the door open when a lead of 250 (or more) was a possibility

That’s now been compounded by some very shoddy new ball bowling that got the Indian chase off to a bright start and gave their batters the confidence that the target is gettable

Two quick wickets in the final session created a breach we couldn’t capitalise on so now Kohli and co are within reach needing 280 on the final day with nine of our bowlers looking especially threatening

That's Test cricket.

Gonna be a tense final day. All results on the table.

Bowlers need to be a lot better than they were yesterday or we're in for another GABBA level embarrassment.

The man Boland

Love it

We're well in control but I can't believe how bad this team is with reviews, why did Cummins go for some random review when only Labuschagne appealed?

The Boland ball was clearly down leg, pretty poor review again.

Also, Starc is hard to watch at times although I love his batting ability I do wish he gained some control back over his bowling. Kind of just hands them easy balls about two per over.
