Stringer is elite talent going cheap. There are some personal issues but not ones being reported and issues that can hopefully be resolved. This smells like Dustin Martin being out of contract a few years ago. Someone will get a steal. Please don't let it be Geelong or Essendon

I used to bag Chris Scott but I'm accepting that the guy can coach now. Actually think he's pretty smart. Still a whinger but
Really? I think anyone could step in, throw the Dangerfield magnet around and be hailed a genius. He's the best player in the competition.

Id give him the credit if was making big moves with lesser players. I'd like to see him chuck a cooked Stewy Dew into the forward line during a GF or a second year forward like Sicily down back. That's coaching in my book...

Can you truly say he hasn't coached well against Clarko for a number of years?

I've reluctantly come to the same conclusion. Don't rate their list particularly highly, but Scott has managed to have most games this season played on his terms, rather than the oppositions. Prime example would be the drawn game against GWS

My thoughts exactly. Dusty was almost damaged goods 3 years ago. How dumb is everyone looking now

I don't think he will be going cheap and I would also question whether he actually is an elite talent, he has had one good season. Personal issues aside, I don’t want him.

Love it except Clarko has stated that nobody told Stewie to go forward he just went on instinct. Proper footballer Dew was.

Dare I say it, but Motlop playing a decent game tonight in a side that isn't going so well.
I am assuming he is an UFA.....I would have a nibble on his form of the last couple of weeks

*****runs for cover
It's classic job interview effort. You see Reid from Sydney perform like a star every time he's up for contract renewal. Motlop will get his pay day and ease into the kind of form his displayed over the last 5-7 years.

Or he'll relish being away from a cockstain who ostracised him from the playing group.

Probably on my own here, but I hope we are

No mate. He has all the weapons to be a star and needs a fresh start.

I would love him in the Brown and Gold and reckon Clarko could nurture him and bring the best out of him.

The major stumbling block in all of this is satisfying the Dogs.

The Dogs will push for Breust who is best mates with Suckling as a swap. With Breust you have a 30-40 goal kicker per season so the question is do you take the punt knowing Stringers ceiling is higher than punkys long term as a midfield /forward or stay with the player you know....

Stringer is publicly out of favour and is very inconsistent.

Breust is a cleanskin who is likely a coaches pet and is very consistent. Not to mention the whole under contract for many years thing.

Breust holds a lot more trade value than Stringer does presently. He won't be part of any Stringer deal unless there's something else of value to Hawthorn coming back the other way.

Breust beats Stringer in basically every statistic, he's missed bugger all games over the journey, unlike Stringer, he's consistent, unlike Stringer, he's a team player, unlike Stringer, he's well liked by his team mates, unlike Stringer

If we traded Breust for Stringer we would be losing and paying massive overs

So what are you suggesting is a fair deal that would be attractive to the Dogs for us to be a chance. Please don't tell me Schoey Billy and or Doc in any way at all.
