Didn't Clarko rule out Stringer chase only a few days ago....

The media misconstrued Clarko's comments on Footy Classifed; he simply said "we'd be constrained" from meeting the Western Bulldogs needs for Stringer. He actually previously acknowledged he'd be "really handy for our footy club".

I used to bag Chris Scott but I'm accepting that the guy can coach now. Actually think he's pretty smart. Still a whinger but

Rocky (fa) plus stringer (trade for secret 2nd round pick and fringe player) plus gaff (best 22 player plus more) plus a young mid/hff and we would be looking very strong for the next few seasons. Free agency and player movement enable the transformation of a list much faster than any other time in history. A decade in the wilderness is not necessary. We have Clarko and wrighty and a winning culture. We have the technology. We can rebuild it.
