Good news on Kennedy



Matthew Kennedy (knee)
• Experienced knee soreness out of the game on Sunday however scans have cleared him of damage to his knee
• Will aim to train later this week in order to be available to play
• Availability: Test

Corey Durdin (shoulder)
• Experienced a dislocated shoulder in the VFL on Sunday
• Unavailable for selection this week, his recovery will be reassessed over the next fortnight

Tom De Koning (managed)
• Will aim to train fully this week
• Availability: Test

Matthew Cottrell (foot)
• Availability: Test

Billy Wilson (knee)
• Availability: Test

I'm still scarred from Docs injury this year that at first club expected to be minor but ended up being an ACL.

A lot different mechanism of injury between the two.

With a six-day turnaround, will watch how Williams (ankle), Owies (ankle) and Kennedy (knee) come up. Corey Durdin also with a shoulder injury in the 2s. Hopefully none are serious.

There was a 5min stretch in the last when if Zac was a racehorse he would have been in serious trouble of waking up tmw.

Hopefully nothing, but not sure he has the ability to impact a game with less than 80% of his capabilities.

Always here/reading, busy with work/study/exams but enjoying the ride, what a year thus far! This is a very capable team health permitting.

Usually 4-6 depending on severity. Can be longer if its very bad but that would be unusual.

He should be back for finals.

If Kennedy is out he will be replaced by Hewett who is a good option. More midfield minutes for Hollands which is also a good thing and the sub will most likely be a forward. Motlop for example but Carroll is also an option. It's not good losing Kennedy but he is currently one of the easiest players for us to replace currently.

Often with fully ruptured MCLs you see the injured person in intense pain. While Kennedy looked very sore he wasn't writhing around.

Agreed. This doesn’t tell us anything we don’t already know. Maybe it’s closer to the six weeks than the four weeks.

Voss was pretty certain it was a medial strain. Don't think anything official from the club has been released yet.
As long as it's not ACL and we can get him cherry ripe for finals.

Fingers crossed from Bam Bam it’s not season ending. Anything sub of 8 weeks will at least give him a chance to play the final round.
