We can be overly critical of our players. But heaven help us if we ever had a 200cm, 108kg giant who was unwilling and/or incapable of doing anything remotely involving physical contact. They gave him 750+k per year to be the AFL equivalent of the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man. But it's more than that. Jenkins was already entering his age 28 season when he was on the first year of that contract. He has another 4 years left.

Now that money is tied up and they have a young gun who should have gotten his share of that salary cap allotment they can't give him that contract. I find it increasingly laughable that they came out and said yesterday that by giving Lever marginally more than that he'd become their highest paid player. That means Jenkins is easily within their top 5 highest paid players.]

Yeah it's seriously funny. What astounded me was how they low ball their own players in an attempt to keep them for under what the market says the player is worth. No wonder they lose alot of players. Makes sense now.

It's hilarious, Lever is a money hungry hack, Tex is "the man" & he told him where to go when Lever rang him (classy move by Leaver IMO), they are going to berate him at the B&F & he's part of the reason they lost the GF & they are now going to take Oliver or Petracca from the Dees, but.....they have to get pick 2 & later first rounder for him , Bare minimum he's worth 2 first round pics & if they don't get it the AFL & aflpa are cheating them

Would love to see the Crows pull a Port Adelaide with Nick Stevens. Of course, Brisbane would draft him in the PSD and take their chances knowing that at worst they'd pick up a first round pick in 12 months time. Crows get nothing and Melbourne miss out for a year but end up paying less.

Lever called him to tell him he was requesting a trade, to which Walker took exception.

Lever called every Crows player, a few were thankful for the personal call, others were upset with him. I think quite a few of them are miffed, not just Walker. Although he's the captain so it stands out.

If a player manager takes up a role at a club, especially in the recruiting/list management side of things, all of the manager's clients should be off limits to the new club for at least 12 months.

He is a good player but does burn his team mates as he loves a goal. It wouldn't surprise me that he is bit of a tosser. I still would of liked him but it probably wasn't meant to be. Could be a quiet trade period if it's just Kennedy coming in.
