having family in vic might be the very reason a player goes or stays interstate.............
All family make you happy when they visit, some when they arrive, some when they leave.

Each to their own opinion. We don't have the list to chase down a flag next year, with or without Rockliff and the only way Carlton is similar to Brisbane is recent performance. We are not a franchise club and we aren't in Queensland to start with...

I never wanted Rockliff at Carlton. I am happy about the outcome.

If a player goes fishing for money, good on them. Doesn't mean that I have to be all excited about them.

Get Kennedy is my mantra. He fits the list age and fulfills our needs.

Chasing FA players has never done us any good and to try again now after only two years of rebuilding the list is short sighted.

TA

The difference here is, we wouldn't have to give anything up to get Rocky!

I saw b70 snap at someone last night. Was very out of character and was only up for maybe less than a minute before it disappeared.
Unfortunately it's the nature of the beast a bit. Nobody really knows anyone on here (apart from some that have caught up for games and such) and people will naturally be skeptical. I don't agree with people that are flat out rude in their skepticism, but you have to be prepared for some to dismiss your rumours, regardless of how many runs a poster might have on the board.

Aw snap, now I want to see it.
Was it me?? :p

Kerridge and Graham aren't going to get "bums on seats" at games.

I'm happy with Kerridge getting bums out of seats

Alarm bells going off on Devon Smith when one of his major factors for deciding on a new club is the rehab process and facilities. Quoted from his manager on trade radio earlier today: "A big one for Devon is the player management, how they manage the players (coming) back through rehab,"

Not necessarily, maybe feels GWS approach hasn't given him the best chance to stay on the park. Just eager to see some continuity I'd assume.
Exactly: GWS' long term injury record is horrendous.

Rockliff has chosen Port, reportedly because of a desire to play finals. I seem to remember another Brisbane player saying the same thing & ultimately missing out on the Lions 3-peat & being in the losing team for 2 of those years.

Port may well continue to play finals, but until they start beating teams in the Top 8, they aren't winning a final any time soon.

Exactly. Using NBA - Grant Hill had a horrific ankle injury by virtue of him continuing to play when it was broken. Couldn’t stay on the court at Orlando but career extended when he moved to Phoenix, who are renowned for the best doctors in league.

$800k a year isn't free.
$800k would likely net band 1, so that better not be true.

And it's flawed.

I reckon with our list additions, maturity in the younger guys, a fit Cripps and if Rockliff had have joined, we'd be a fair crack at finals next year... and the year after... and the year after...

Port Adelaide? A fair bit of wanting in that list.

Whilst Kennedy will add midfield depth, some inside grunt and is only 20 (so lots of improvement), just beware currently he is a poor decision maker and user. Not sure many have actually seen him play. Matt Deboer was ahead of him in the prelim..

These are two things that are hard to correct. I like that he is coming to us, I would prefer not to trade out of next years draft though.

Miles is the same - Poor user.

Thought bubble: with Lever Leaving, what would Liam Jones be worth to Adelaide? Pick 16?
2 first rounders and a parma from the glenelg pub...

They have Kelly and Keath.

Just saw SOS and Broadie ordering Asian food for lunch outside Etihad. Look like they have their game faces on

They're at the combine...

The lever situation is quite enjoyable to watch. To see reports that their captain blasted him over the phone, that the coach was quite unpleasant at the news... oh and he is uncontracted. If you believe in karma, you’d almost say this is karma for what they did with us last year with Gibbs....

You reap what you sow.

Adelaide are becoming the new Essendon, although they appear to be treating their own players poorly. Apparently their first offer to Lever was around the $300k mark.
