Anyone have any insight into the 4 father-sons that we have coming up? One this year and 3 next I believe. Have read that He Who Shall Not Be Named has shrunk by 2 feet recently, but what about the Hickmotts and Manton?

The one you are referring to has dropped so far down the list I'm calling him 'ZSOS' ... or should that be 'Zee-SOS' ??

Jones was pantsed a few times in the backend of the season...he’s a long way off AA
Just needs experience. Hasn't been playing back long. He will be better at playing buddy next year.

Forwards with big tanks are always going to give him trouble. Needs a chop out fron teammates when they lead up the ground as he is a power athlete and doesnt have the endurance.

Theres two Hickmotts. One called Liam, other one called Will. Although their both very talented, one is doing very well in WAFL. Both are recruitable.

Then there's "he who shall not be named". Theres alot already been said. I wont say it again

Then there's Oscar Manton who I have no idea about.

thats four.

Pretty sure from here on out we want to...you know.....keep most of our best 22 level players now.

Keep them and provide them with the best possible environment to DEVELOP and get the absolute best out of themselves.

We've been poor in this area for a very very long time. We're about to find out how much we have improved in developing talented young footballers .

The next season or two are gonna tell a story.

Can we just pick both Hickmonts with one selection and call em Wil-liam?

Definitely like his stats, midfielder aswell, definitely worth a bid with our pick 73?

Pick 73 is worth 9 points, the last pick that has points value.

So any bid that comes before, even with the discount of 20% (I think that's what it is), would require us to go into deficit in next year's draft, which we don't want. So better hope there's no bid, and we can get him with 73 or a rookie pic if SOS thinks he's worth having on the list.

Yup it's important to remember that Jack Riewoldt, Buddy and Hawkins really worked over his lack of aerobic capacity.

Thankfully we've got ASOS sitting there as well while the kids develop.
In fairness, how many 'easy as' forward entries did Geelong and the Swans have in those games. The defensive pressure we applied when the opposition transitioned from our forward line made the French resistance look good.

Yes he was but IIRC there were injuries in the backline- marchbank out, weitering playing injured and that threw out our structure. One was Buddy and it was probably a mismatch, and it was one of buddies purple patches. Next year we play ASOS on buddy who did the job on him the first time around.
But still he was heavily beaten. I look forward to seeing how he responds in 2018

Bolton admitted after Jones got beaten by buddy that he intentionally left Jones 1 out with no help as a learning experience. Plus the injuries we had and the ease of entry. Buddy would've kicked 6+ on anyone one out that day.

interesting tactic, controversial tactic. Given LJ's battle with the confidence demons as a forward , that could have backfired. We wont know till 2018, but I think it was a role of the dice

Connor McLeod (Andrew) Adelaide - son of one of my all time favourites - any goss?

Interesting he and Jackson Edwards coming through together re their fathers' historic feud.......

This is more interesting when I pretend you're talking about the Highlander franchise...

Either Jones learnt from it or he will end up back at Northern by the end of next year. His finish to the season wasn’t strong, which is why so many still have queries as to whether it was a Kozi patch only.
