I must have missed something. Why is a Daniher of all people wanting out of *?

Maybe because his Dad has his name on a locker at Sydney and Essendon, whilst Joe has his name on at Essendon and time to do the double.

He had a choice of both under father son rules at the start.

Have we discussed the delisting of Kerr? Surely he will be picked up from another club rather quickly?

Doubt it will be "quickly". Maybe a delisted free agent, pre-draft, but more likely a club throws him a lifeline via the rookie draft. Hard to see him not landing somewhere, there are a few clubs with diabolical tall forward stocks who'd probably take the chance for almost no investment.

Didn't mind the look of him. Maybe McGovern coming to us saw the end for him..

I'll be very happy with this, but it doesnt make much sense from Martin's perspective...
Dogs in finals & more $$$
Vs Blues potential?
Big Melbourne club on the rise and ready to erupt
Playing in blockbusters in front of huge crowds
Playing along side fellow Hall'sCreek native and a bunch of fellow WA boys
Playing with the most inspirational player in the game "CRIPPA"
Clubs been keen on him for years, "we want you Marty"
After being given our sacred jumper to try on, he just knew it felt right..
Everyone looks better in BLUE..
Welcome young man👍

He's an old school type. Even when we had injuries, he wasn't getting a look in for us. I'd see his ideal role as the one Riewoldt plays at Richmond - pushing up the ground and dragging a defender with him to open up space for someone like Lynch to operate in. Problem is, he doesn't really have the tricks to create play when he gets the ball higher up the ground, at least at AFL level. He's somewhat one-dimensional, and he's not dominant enough at what he does well to offset his deficiencies.

Still, enough there that someone will probably give him a crack, and maybe if he gets an opportunity he'll surprise a few.

Sam Gray is nowhere near as bad as some making him out to be. Wouldn't my first choice as a recruit, but could be a good pick up for us. Has played quite lot of good games for Port.

Kicked 83.74 goals from 96 games, idk surely we'd want someone who is more of a goal threat, and more accurate ideally?

All this talk of players we are targeting. Everyone play along. In order pick 3 players you want and then pick 3 you think we will end up with.

Want

Papley
Martin
Betts

Will get

Martin
Betts
Grey

I'm not sure, haven't we gotten to the point where we can (and should) be a bit more choosey?

Depends on who is available.

If we can't get Papley, grabbing Gray and Betts, plus a talented young small forward from the draft, would be a fair alternative. Immediate impact so we can actually field a functional forward line, and a clear succession plan as the kid develops. Preference, of course, would be Papley, but we can't operate on the assumption that that deal will get done.

There... fixed that for you. There is no way that Martyn and Mcguane looked better in Blue!
