Lennon sounds sooky. Cracking the sads for not being a regular in a top 8 side in his 2nd year of AFL. Also has a massive Tiger tattoo now.

Would rather McBean. Fills a need, is a hard worker and has a heaaap of upside. Perfect to sit at CHF for the next decade.

McBean is 202cm which means he is either a ruck who can pinch hit forward or he is an oversized forward who probably isn't extremely mobile once the ball hits the deck. Looking at his VFL stats this year, he is averaging 5 hitouts per game which probably points to the fact that he has to make it as a forward if he is to succeed. I have my doubts since he hasn't been able to force his way into the team yet when his competition is Griffiths and Vickery.

Just on Lennon (or any other player changing club), I think it's unfair that we say he/they seem sooky when we don't know their motives for leaving or the full circumstances. Maybe the kid just wants to play for Carlton and always dreamed of wearing the Navy Blue. Maybe Richmond aren't offering him as much as we have, in which case it makes sense that he seeks greater financial security in a game where a career can be cut short in a heartbeat. Maybe he is a bit sooky, in which case I wouldn't care if he has a long and successful career wearing the Navy Blue.

Would be great if Lennon is another Sam Doc who has a genuine old school passion for the Navy Blue. Don't see it enough these days.

He is an amazing athlete and is a forward. He's behind Riewoldt and Vickery because he's still developing as he's only 21. 42 goals in 16 games this year in the VFL is pretty good.

Very agile and clean below his knees. Richmond love him and will be super keen to keep him.

Alright, I just created a new account for this so hopefully you all enjoy some facts. My brother has a friend pretty high up at Carlton and this is all straight from his mouth after he saw him the other day.

- Weitering is a lock for number one. SOS actually doesn't rate Schace that highly, thinks that there is 2 other prospects that could be better than him.... I think maybe Francis and Curnow?
- Lachie Henderson is a done deal for Geelong's first pick, nothing more. This is great news for us, two in the top 10 is a great start.
- Carlton really, really wanted Yarran to stay but obviously he's going off to Richmond. Thinks the trade won't involve their first pick but their second and a player.
- The jury is still out on Carlisle, still unsure whether he's a great fit.
- SOS is brilliant at what he does. Apparently they can't believe how well he knows the lists. This has got me feeling good knowing that we finally have a list manager that has an idea on what he is doing.

Two in the top ten. What about our priority :)
There may be better options than Schache but getting them in will be the trick.
Not everyone wants Carlisle, do they? He sure does polarize and for very...very, good reasons.

First time we've had a list manager though as previously we had a concoction.

BTW. Welcome. :thumbsu:

any idea on the player from Richmond bigdog43?

Agee. The footage I've seen is he is very nimble when the ball hits the ground. I think the knock on him is more his strength in air.

IMO a contracted Yarran > a contracted Lennon.

That's only on the assumption that Yarran has the desire and attitude to fulfil his potential. Lennon is pretty much a top ten draft pick with 2 years in the system, it's a no brainer for mine if we get him for Yarran.

Is he a Daniher type?

Sound like a Daniher type , Richmond supporter's are very protective over both Lennon and McBean and reluctant to lose either.
I'd ask for both as straight swap for Yarran or their 2nd rounder and Lennon.
Both are uncontracted and a little disheartened due lack of opportunity,
I'd push hard for both players take it or leave it.
A 2nd rounder in this draft would not amount to much unless we're extremely lucky and our record in past has not been hot.
Ciao

There is 0 chance we will get Lennon AND McBean.

And yeah he's a bit of a Daniher type. Can see him being a lead-up forward who troubles his opponent on the lead due to his speed, endurance and ability at ground level.

Lennon is probably the more talented one but gee whiz we need some promising talls. Especially after the cutting of Watson and Giles.

i don't know much about lennon but yarran is way overrated. can look good and do some great things but not what i want at carlton. in all his games how many has he dominated. he is soft lazy and isn't a team player. even if no one wants him i don't want him in a carlton jumper ever again.

Yep SOS will definitely take Weitering first. Don't think they rate Francis as highly as what most people have. From what i've been told, it seems like he has 'issues'. I don't know if it's related to the death of his brother or not though.

Disagree! Spent some time with sj years ago overseas & he has a great footy brain! Also nothing wrong with injecting some fun into a club
He may well have a good footy brain - Personally I'd rather not bring in anyone with the track record of lacking discipline both on and off field that SJ has.
