There's no doubt Walker is nothing more than a second-stringer, but he's miles ahead of Jones.
Only 22 and has shown glimpses. Got guys like Vardy, Hawkins and Clark ahead of him. If he's going to come good, it will happen in the next couple of years. If he's steak knives in a Hendo deal and effectively only costs us a 3rd, can't see the harm in giving him a run for 2 years and if he doesn't come on, just delist him in 2 years time.
Made pretty good use of his opportunities this year.

I don't understand this talk about Lennon? Just a really peculiar situation, if both Richmond and he are so keen for each other why is nothing done yet?

This talk of us maybe trying to convince him to walk to the psd seems like BS to me. Sure, we should accept any potential present if available but to flat out refuse to trade and ask someone to walk to psd is a dog act, no way that would happen. If you want a player then you need to trade for him. What goes around comes around.

Now, we can barrack for anybody against Geelong which makes me happy. Having said this without sounding too arrogant (hopefully), I called it earlier in this thread!!! Now, for Yarran for 2016 1st round Richmond pick. Reload big time with next year's draft.

From Richmond, they will trade him to Brisbane for their pick 17 which would then come to us for Yarran

So what you are saying is that a 24 year old who's played 41 games (35 draft pick) is the equivalent of a similar aged player who was pick 6, has played 119 games and has won some off his own boot. That is a joke, right?

If this is the best Richmond can do then as far as I'm concerned they can suck eggs. If we can't get something better from another club he must be made play out his contract.

Why is it bs? There needs to be some sort of incentive for teams that finish lowly... In no way is it a dogs act if Lennon doesn't want to be there and richmond don't want to trade, What other alternative do you suggest? Richmond don't want to pay what Yarran is worth so they can GAGF for all I care!!

Who is throwing anyone away? Bell is gone, Cas is a rising 26 year old with half a good year behind him. I like them both, but a young, highly rated mid isn't a bad return.
We are if we give them Bell & Cas for one of 17, 21 or Mayes. SM is highly talented but what has he achieved as yet? He has had 3 full years in the system now.

All good, we obviously just disagree on our players value. I'm just sick of giving other teams a leg up. We've just done well in the Hendo trade, long may that continue.

I think we are taking this whole "next years draft" investment to a whole new level...which isnt bad, but will test the patience of some.

I had no clue...lol

I was told that a week after the first final. He was pretty pissed at the club. Things could of changed. But by the sounds you guys were offerer pretty good money.

Cheers, would definitely prefer him over Aish, especially as it seems he could be good for nearly 2 goals a game. In our situation, I think we need Lennon more than an accumulating mid like Aish.

Would make the PSD fascinating if we take Lennon at #1 and Aish goes in there, does Brisbane redraft him?

Good deal for Carlton, Geelong know how to trade and don't stuff around.
Richmond wont get a pick between 15-18 for yarran, so either pick 12, lennon or next year 1st pick
Brisbane have some deals to do Bell maybe Casboult but pick 21 for bell looks a bit overs but pick 38 is way unders
I see these deals holding up our GWS trades early days still

Don't doubt your source, but question the logic.

If he comes to Carlton, he will be left out of finals for at least 5 years ;)
