Was having a chat to a player manager last night who happens to manage Carlton players and is also a Carlton fan.

His take is nothing new but reiterates what we've heard.

-Haines pretty much a lock
-Houston will happen unless he gets offered stupid money elsewhere
-Club does not rate owies because he's too slow and doesn't offer enough defensively. Not many other interested clubs either for the same reasons.
-SOS on the list because he's good for culture but that's not to say he's bad

TBH, I'm OK with Owies being traded if he has currency to get us better deals over the line, but the fact that the club doesn't rate him because of pace/defense is a bit poor. Sure if he wasn't kicking goals, but he is, so that's a bit poor I think considering the other smalls are no-where near his output, regardless of other attributes.

They have better position if Harley Reid decide to go home after 3-4 years. Bo Allan already played in Senior Footy and a Premiership that talent for Under 18 playing in the second best football league VFL, SANFL, WAFL.

Could see him in a Carlton guernsey. Although being from WA, may be better suited to Freo.

Sad Jack Carroll didn't make it as a player I remember Voss pumping him up to us Supporter in interview this kid is tough Carlton will be watching him for many many years. He made him out he was the next big thing at Carlton. I say what the effing happen does the club just talk nonsense to make us feel better or really thought this.

Dream off season haul imo

Have any of them got pace though, as Moraes just sounds like another Ollie.H. (good tank but not much speed!!) and we desperately need an O'Farrell type earlier rather than later, as our later picks are in the 60s and will be used to get the Campo twins who are both mids anyway!!! Lindsay does look the goods though and really reminds me of Pendlebury with how he reads the game, never looks rushed and has a beautiful kick on him. I can imagine that the Lions would want more than pick 31 and some side salad for pick 17, but I hope you are proven right there.........
