I hear its pretty much a done deal, just haggling over whether it is a 6 or 7 year deal. Some at the club feel that giving a 7 year deal to a 43 year old may be a tad risky. 6 years more reasonable.

Good point, maybe never AD… but I would be surprised if they hadn’t had a look at it during pre season, VFL level or intra club games etc.

The coaches would be in a reasonable positions to assess his skills, attributes, tank etc to make this call though.
