Tom Morris saying Kemp more likely to get to Saints than stay at Carlton. Also says Saints will need to "pony up" for him.
Quite depressing how good the draft is! Set them up nicely before Tas...If the Riolo deal goes through as expected they will have 7 first round picks (1,6,10,11,18,20,23) and pick 24
Wow
I resemble that remark.In a coffee mug.
Let's be real for a minute... I don't think we're necessarily interested in trading away Kemp. More of a "show us what you're offering and we might consider it" kind of situation...
I don't think we should trade him because if we start losing talls, we're screwed. But I would also look at it if the price tag was too good to be true...
If you're Austin, what is the minimum pick you'd require in order to make you consider the trade?
that is a lot of 18 year olds running around - despite the talent they'' be down for a while as our game is a contested, physical after all, not just skillQuite depressing how good the draft is! Set them up nicely before Tas...
No, he was Giants' list manager when they got 7 for JackschWas he our list manager when we gave #7 for Jaksch?
Yeah but fair few of them them Bitchmond will manage to somehow stuff up probably. If the Riolo deal goes through as expected they will have 7 first round picks (1,6,10,11,18,20,23) and pick 24
Wow
At pick 12 or 14 - likely to be 15 & 17 by the time we'd use those picks - you're really not getting a very good mid. You're getting a decent player, B grader perhaps. Likely someone who isn't playing immediately. Hopefully in yr 2 or 3 they solidify their place and will be a solid long term player.Would have preferred 12 and 14 personally.
We get another very good mid to go with our array of very good mids.
Yeah but fair few of them them Bitchmond will manage to somehow stuff up probably.
Absolute credit to them. Have cashed out at the right time and hit the perfect draft for it. Have also extracted the very top end compensation for their players. If the Riolo deal goes through as expected they will have 7 first round picks (1,6,10,11,18,20,23) and pick 24
Wow
You'd think not but it's Richmond...That would be a monumental stuff up with those picks. No one could stuff up with that bank could they?

There is 0 chance Kemp gets a pick inside 15.I'm stuck on 7 or 8
I tend to agree with youAt pick 12 or 14 - likely to be 15 & 17 by the time we'd use those picks - you're really not getting a very good mid. You're getting a decent player, B grader perhaps. Pick 3 you're getting a potentially club changing player. For a club like us in finals and ideally pushing for a flag you're looking at something like Ashcroft/Daicos type impact.
I'm surprised at the doubters on pick 3, I don't see any downside. 2 first rounders sounds nice on paper but when you see it's basically 2 picks in the mid-late teens then they aren't premium picks, at all. There's a reason why WEagles fans are having conniptions and the broader media can't believe what they've done here.

Yeah, aside from trading for both of Taranto and Hopper they've been good.I'd say Richmond's list management over the last decade has been pretty good. Netted them 3 flags.
And by far the worst list in the comp for at least the next three years. If the Riolo deal goes through as expected they will have 7 first round picks (1,6,10,11,18,20,23) and pick 24
Wow
cant see us taking that deal tbhAgree. I think if Kemp goes it'll be for a 2nd rounder. Either f2 or something before campo bids this year.
I would much rather keep him for that. But if we do trade him it means we don't really rate him and was probably going to just be depth next year.
Would be surprised if we trade him for that. We're lacking depth at either end of the ground and at worst he provides AFL quality cover.Agree. I think if Kemp goes it'll be for a 2nd rounder. Either f2 or something before campo bids this year.

Overall yes, but they have a penchant even in their peak years to draft some absolute potatos. And let's face it, they were largely carried by a peak Dusty.I'd say Richmond's list management over the last decade has been pretty good. Netted them 3 flags.
I'd pay that price ie bottoming out hard if it led to multiple flags. I think most clubs would. And by far the worst list in the comp for at least the next three years.

That's what everyone said when * had 7,8 & 9 a few years ago. That would be a monumental stuff up with those picks. No one could stuff up with that bank could they?
