Let's be real for a minute... I don't think we're necessarily interested in trading away Kemp. More of a "show us what you're offering and we might consider it" kind of situation...

I don't think we should trade him because if we start losing talls, we're screwed. But I would also look at it if the price tag was too good to be true...

If you're Austin, what is the minimum pick you'd require in order to make you consider the trade?

We get another very good mid to go with our array of very good mids.

At pick 12 or 14 - likely to be 15 & 17 by the time we'd use those picks - you're really not getting a very good mid. You're getting a decent player, B grader perhaps. Likely someone who isn't playing immediately. Hopefully in yr 2 or 3 they solidify their place and will be a solid long term player.

Pick 3 you're getting a potentially club changing player. For a club like us in finals and ideally pushing for a flag you're looking at something like Ashcroft/Daicos type impact.

I'm surprised at the doubters on pick 3, I don't see any downside. 2 first rounders sounds nice on paper but when you see it's basically 2 picks in the mid-late teens then they aren't premium picks, at all. There's a reason why WEagles fans are having conniptions and the broader media can't believe what they've done here.

Absolute credit to them. Have cashed out at the right time and hit the perfect draft for it. Have also extracted the very top end compensation for their players.

I expect we will go for a player who can make an impact immediately and is not the same as what we already have. I'm no draft expert so not sure who that is

Would be surprised if we trade him for that. We're lacking depth at either end of the ground and at worst he provides AFL quality cover.

Overall yes, but they have a penchant even in their peak years to draft some absolute potatos. And let's face it, they were largely carried by a peak Dusty.
