Russell is extremely lucky. Our injury list had been extensive and our ability to run out games has been poor for years now.

I’m sure that the Clarkson is a factor is one of the main reasons for retaining.

Also not a good look to be caught on camera waving and smiling to the media this morning. Not with the position the club is in.

I bet Pickering wouldn’t have made such comments if Teague was hanging around. He’s effectively made Teague’s position untenable. He’s a goose.

Good. Teague has limited footy IQ and I am starting to question his overall intelligence with his comments about a number of players including Cripps. As a player I’d want my coach to go to war for me eg. Clarkson and Hardwick not pot me in interviews.

Maybe this time the club will do the proper interview process. Not based on quick results.
Teague’s no genius last year. He just played an older list.

No the review, that in the media constantly referenced would be overseen by the president and the CEO, was discussed at length here by the anti Liddle crowd, complaining that he was overseeing the review, when it was announced.

Where has it been stated in the media, or on here, that the findings only be reported to Sayers? The commentary here at the time, was Sayers and Liddle were helping and overseeing the review.

I’d be keen to back him in also if he has shown the same dedication and will.

He’s a very, very, very skinny kid, played a VFL match with the GC Suns in July and got about 4 hit outs for the game.

Might be alright in a year or two, but a project player for now. Was highly touted last year though as a potential pick.

Liddle has no loyalty to the Carlton football club, he’s doing what is in his best interest to try and hold onto a power base with departure of MLG. He needs to stay out of the list management, coaching and player decisions. Sayers has the court decisions are up to him, if rumors are true that Liddle won’t be around at the start of next season his views would have little impact.

The list management team should manage the list, coaching appointments are the responsibility of the CEO, it’s his job to have an opinion on who the coach should be, player decisions are the response list of list management.

Not sure where the Liddle moving or being moved on have come from, as far as I’m aware and I’ve been told, Liddle and Sayers are on the same page, they get along well.

That’s the thing though Reg, the whole thing with Teague is going on. Pickering has been bashing Carlton for over a week now. Teague singles Cripps out in the media, then 2 days later Pickering follows suit.

Exactly. While what Pickering is saying may actually be true, it’s not what you want your current coach (his manager - is as good as him saying it) to be saying about your current captain in a public forum.
I can’t see any benefit to any party (Teague, Cripps, or Carlton as a whole) by saying it, which makes me wonder his intentions.
Its either a non thought out comment that he slipped up, or it’s a bomb drop as Teague is going out the door.
