That part is fine, I don’t want us ending up in another situation where we may have to pay a player to leave in 2-3 years time during a rebuild as we are regretting the 5 years. Poor negotiation skills and messaging are the key issues here, absolute amateur hour.

I think it's unlikely we take all 3 even if available, certainly not if we/Luke nominates us. And most certainly not if the bids come in way earlier than we anticipate.

Everyone blaming the AFC have got it wrong.
You ALL know the Crows board are appointed by the VFL....they do as they are told BY the VFL.
This has turned out JUST as the VFL wanted it to. They were NEVER going to give Adelaide pick 2 ....under ANY circumstance.
The VFL have coached the club on whatt to say to its brainless supporters and i'm guessing those supporters will lap it up and turn their attention to who we get with pick 1...like good little ignorant customersn within a few days
The Stkilda contract was hyjacked and reworked by the VFL to ensure this outcone....when stuck on what to do next...our VFL appointed board follow the boses orders and bend over....as they OWN the Crows.
Your supporting a Victorian club...in a Victorian comp....for the benefit of Victorians...only the name has Adelaide in it.
Unfortunatly ive already cancelled my membership and foxtel....so all i have left is to stop watching or talking about the VFL at all.
As such....this is my final post.

Its funny how WCE never get screwed by the AFL the same way despite being an interstate club.
The AFL organization is bias but THIS **** up is on us and us only.
Well Borlase is a certainty and would be extremely surprised if we passed on Newchurch. Edwards is the one we may pass on, agree there.
So Kelly admitted we didn't know what the contract was until it was lodged by St. Kilda? That's gross negligence. He, and Reid, should be instantly dismissed.
To boot, St. Kilda obviously changed the contract from it's initial form as they didn't lodge it until Saturday. We let them **** us instead of getting maximum value from this situation, whish is why it's so galling to listen to Kelly tell us this was the best outcome - we can all see it's the worst and laziest result.
To mention it again (before any of the idiots who argued with me and Scorpus for the last few weeks that this wouldn't happen ask what we should have done better), Dodoro negotiated with Brisbane for weeks to ensure they got Band 1 and Brisbane didn't need to worry about Essendon matching to force a trade.

What is to stop someone offering a really low base with a high and easily reachable trigger as the benefit is all to the club making the offer.

Yes, they can restore a little faith if they play hardball with GWS & offer Atkins compo pick only. Then use the two 20ish picks to their advantage. I have faith that J Reid would achieve that as long as there's no interference from his boss(es).

As I said earlier, this is exactly what we deserved for pointlessly holding onto Crouch 3-4 years past his cooked by date.
Because your past injury history doesn’t just magically disappear, especially anything soft tissue related. His soft tissue injuries will follow him for his entire career, once your body has even one hammy it is way more susceptible to another. He did a hammy just this year if you’re looking for recent history.

I actually wish I didn't care. If the Crows were a marriage I would have divorced them years ago. I am really questioning why I haven't severed this before now. You just hope for change, for things to come good. And every now and then there is the hope, just before the dagger in the heart.
