Treloar is horrible by foot as well, but Crouch gets more inside ball and is a much better clearance player (nothing wrong with bombing the ball when you get centre clearance).

I think he could get overtaken pretty quickly and I still dont trust his body....

I also dont think he suits our game plan, Nicks ia looking at moving the ball with skill and speed.... Brad doesnt lift the eyes and hit targets

Yeah, I really don't want to be stuck with a midfield of Crouch, Crouch, Sloane for the next 4 years.

Either 1-2 of them gets traded, or we're stuck with playing our young mids at half-forward (which has worked so well for Gooch, Jones, Polhoke etc)

St Kilda may come out of this poorer. They knew our expectation not to match. It will impact them in later deals.

To me I reckon they have let Brad and their supporters down. They were given fair warning by Adelaide that unless it was a Band 1 offer, it would be matched. It makes you wonder how much they really wanted him in the first place. They overpaid on Hill last year and are facing the consequences now.

That's not how it works.

Crouch is a RFA so if the Crows match the offer, then he is your player, end of story. The only way that can change is for an opposition club to offer a trade deal. Crouch has no say in the FA component once the Crows match the deal, he only has a say in where he could be traded to.

Crouch can walk to the draft if he chooses.
