Yes that was my understanding as well .....but all of Dangerfield / Selwood / Hawkins would on or about to go on reduced contracts due to their age ....Ablett retiring

Selwood / Hawkins both 32 now .....Danger 31 next April

So can easily see Cameron getting $800K per year ....which would have been Selwood / Danger type Contracts

Well they can realise that next year. Was damo and jay clark etc banging on about the unfairness of the system last year?. Were these same journalists postibg leaked emails from the AFL last year to set a narrative. Nah they can go get f****d

Kane Cornes said similar this morning, that Crows fans need to get their head around not getting pick 2. He think the AFL wouldn't give us pick 2 as it would harm North Melbourne and they are in a much worse position that us... Some of the crap these guys are sprouting is crazy

old mate damo in his crappy sliding doors today said that we're lucky to get band 2 as brad's been trying to get out of the club for 2 years. so apparently he thinks the players intention has an impact on compensation. lol.

Haha are you actually serious? Would there be this outrage if it was Brad leaving the Saints for the Crows as a FA? I don’t think so

That appears to be the 'vibe', it's just not happening no matter what the numbers or rules. I think had we finished say 10th then it could of been band 1 but there is no way they will allow us to have pick one and two.

At one stage Damo was actually a decent journo and seemed to get solid mail, but his ego seems to have got in the way these days. He seems to have an irrational hatred of the Crows as well which clouds his reporting. I mean **** me, how is an AFL employed journo allowed to write pieces on their own website that the Crows are lucky to even get Band 2 compo because he’s tried to leave for 2 years? Does this impact the Cameron situation then? Or are we all pretending he just suddenly decided to leave the Giants 🙄

If we can get pick 9 I would be happy with that, surely there is a middle ground here that can be negotiated between the club and AFL? To go from pick 2 to effectively Band 3 compo because of our finishing position is grossly unjust, a middle ground like the above makes sense

The media are actively trying to set that narrative to our detriment. Cant recall such a grassroots movement against a vic club that stood to benefit like there has been against us. Was there outrage from the same media shills going hard against us against essendon getting pick 1 after their drug shame season?. And did the afl leak emails etc..nah it was a vic club and they are treated very differently

It helps that we've just entirely vacated the media space and haven't even made a demand for it whilst the narrative gets set that we're not entitled.
 
So Sam Edmund, Jay Clark, and Caro just made up all their stories/tweets etc?

Sam Edmund: 5 year deal worth 3-3.5mil which is around the 700-750K which will be a band 1 compo first round pick (pick 2 to the crows)
Jay Clark: Saints deal significantly less than 700K a year. crows compo will come at end of first round.
Caro on 5AA:Brad has the Crows cos they're not going to get the compo they would have got for him.

These next two weeks are going to do our heads in until we find out what we will get for him. I have already accepted that we will get screwed and pick 19 which will blow out to pick 24 by the time its our pick.

We've made it clear we don't want him, and the difference between 15 and 20 is negligible.

It's going to be a disappointing result in itself. If we use it to get to the Dogs Pick 12 it does make it slightly more palatable....... Very slightly.

It's not negligible, and it has a significant difference: your competitor actually has to pay for it.

He's worth more than 15 in a cruddy draft. If that's the offer, match and keep.
