I'd always feel more confident if we didnt always have the loser excuses already tabled in the pre-match presser. Just for once I'd love to hear all the cliches we hate from coaches about how fired up everyone is and how we're expecting to come away with the W.

Anyway, as has been said above, I suspect we are gearing up for a big game at AO next week. Seeing our midfield star in a final will be a real highlight, but I don't think we have the class they do at either end. Lions by 12.

The biggest reason I think Brisbane win tonight is it's the logical time for them to finally stand up & win two finals at the GABBA.

*Of course none of this would be an issue if old mate could've conjured up 1 lousy win in that 4 block drop off.
For me the inexcusable was those two poor losses agains the bloody Crows. Win just one of those and today's game would have been at home rather than away. Not sure though that that would have made much difference (although I didn't realise we are 0-2 in finals at the Gabba, and 3-3 at AO).

I mean regardless of our flakiness you'd always take the home final route over anything else, it was pathetic to piss away a top 2 position after 13 wins in a row.

02 and 03 pre lim isn’t it? We pushed them hard, tough team to beat at home back then. Once again, only ourselves to blame choking against Collingwood and Sydney in the QF

Brisbane are beatable, since Ashcroft was injured they haven’t looked anywhere near as good. They can be a flakey team when there not on a run and the crowd is quiet.

Key’s will be to win the midfield, limit Neales influence and limit their quick ball movement through the middle.

Also don’t kick it to Harris Andrews, make him accountable. Have our elite ball users deliver it to the forwards.

We can definitely win this.

01 Qualifying Final. Led handily at halftime which select Brisbane players famously spent on IV-drips.

Have a feeling it will be one of those goaless what happened pear first quarters
Judging by the stuff that the Instagram account has been posting, we’ve gone up there for the vitamin D and some laughs. Maybe our players have taken the philosophy that if we smile and laugh enough the nervous energy will go away. That’s fine but they need to be focused and dead serious when the game starts.

Cannulas inserted into arms pre game, covered up with tape, a refrigerated truck out the back as a makeshift clinic to administer fluids at half time.

Like, what? How was that not regarded as straight up cheating?

I can't see us kicking a winning score.

Need big games from Finlayson and Marshall to have a chance. But you never know what you are going to get from them.

Plus I worry about how our backline is going to stand up if Brisbane get a run on.

It's been working for Collingwood

No nerves at all , unless we make the grand final I couldn't give a fùck

Were coached by hinkley disappointment and failure is our specialty
Today is the 1st time this season that im feeling the nerves

Even a win tonight and the majority of this board will be like “…what’s the point we’re just going to piss blast ourselves in the prelim…”

Sometimes I wonder why people bother to follow this game at all.
The way you approach one thing is the way you approach everything.

Some people are miserable and this translates to bigfooty.
