Grundy has a perfect comeback if anyone tries to give him s**t on the field,

"Which one of you tnucs took a pay cut so I could still get paid?"

And so forth.

The soy lattes are on me, a-holes!

I think Grundy caused a lot more salt amongst the supporters than Treloar did and therefore will be booed more.
Treloar is the only one I can remember who got a positive reaction after leaving. Even Shaw was just neutral as I think many could see why he might be best off playing elsewhere but Treloar was almost universally supported by the fans against the club's decision makers. I remember late in the game hearing a lot of Pies fans cheering him, seemingly as a way to say F you to the club for what they did to him.

I can see everyone cheering grundy on when we play them. We'll all be cheering him on because of his average ability and all the taps to his feet for Mitchell to gobble up. He hasn't changed, his game on the weekend was a wash, rinse repeat of his last 3 years. No wonder the club just couldn't justify his ridiculous salary. Be gone oh useless one

The performance on the weekend really underlined why it was such a bizarre call for Melbourne to pick him up. Gawn was dominant in the ruck and they looked noticeably worse whenever Grundy took over. He also brings nothing in terms of a marking presence compared to Gawn. They could have picked up one of the many bargain journeymen rucks that are always around to play the role of a relief ruck and targeted a key forward. It may cost them a flag.

Will be hilarious if we get clearances from BG's "taps" 🤣💪

I was at the game when Treloar first played against us and the Collingwood crowd in the AFL members were I sat stood up and cheered him. It was genuine and not ironic cheering too.
I think most fans (from memory) were pissed off at the club for how it behaved that summer.

Shhhh……

You can’t say controversial things like that about Soy Boy.

I agree with everything.

They played an unbalanced top heavy team and won. WOW….

Let’s see how they fare against the Brions this week. The Brions will be a little spiky after their efforts against Port.

They only won because they played an even more top-heavy imbalanced team

I think he meant the dogs were top heavy and unbalanced, not that Melbourne were.

I would expect him to get some boos, I wouldn't boo if I was there I would be far more interested in how Collingwood were going but everyone has different ideas and make different decisions and they're free to do such. I'm more hoping we win the game, then worry about what happens with Grundy on the day.

Hope people don't boo given he was forced out but I wouldn't expect much anyway. Unfortunately, watching at the game on Saturday I thought he was pretty useless for Melbourne - really a very strange decision to recruit a ruckman with basically no forward/backline ability to play a 2nd ruck role. Don't see how it improves their team at all.
