Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Wouldn't be surprised if Sandilands got 3. He may have been in the losing side but he was still the most influencial player on ground. Also, you can't deny that funny things happen on Brownlow night.

Definitely wouldn't surprise me. Wouldn't be undeserved either.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Sorry but I don't agree on Barlow for 2.If any Dockers player was gonna get a vote it would be Sandilands. I would say:
3. Cloke
2. Swan
1. Sandilands

I think this love for Barlow is getting a bit overboard.Yes he's a good player but not so sure why everyone goes stupid when he either gets the ball or goes near it.

agreed mate, they are my votes exactly. Watched this game closely and barlow did not have near as much influence as some of his other games.

Leaderboard after round 8:

G Ablett 12
C Judd 12
M Barlow 11
Pavlich 9
D Wells 8
Hayes 8
Swan 8
Pendlebury 7
R O'Keefe 7
M Priddis 7
J Selwood 7
Riewoldt 6
J Brown 6
Bartel 6
Watson 6
Sandilands 6
Hodge 6
P Chapman 6
Harvey 6

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Surely Cross will get votes for his game on Saturday.

Barlow very little chance of getting anything...Cloke a cert 3, Sandilands at least 1 and maybe a Swan or Pendles for the 2.

Judd lock in for 3 yesterday...just check his SC score...I would personally give Simpson or Kreuzer the 3 but Judd will get them.

Round 8
Pavlich 11
Ablett 11
Judd 10
Barlow 10
J Brown 9
Swan 9
Pendlebury 9
Hodge 8
Sandilands 7
Chapman 7
Wells 7
Dal Santo 7
Hayes 7
Bradshaw 7
Griffen 7

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

As I've said previously, it almost looks like a 2 horse race this far out. The Carlton draw and the form that Judd's in makes him super value. I can't belive that they've put him up at $7 today.
Ablett 12
Judd 11
Barlow 10 ( surely won't be on 10 )
Swan 10
Hodge 9
Watson 9
Sandilands 8
Brown 7

well going by the pies games in the brownlow last year i wouldn't be surprised if both barlow and sandilands get in the votes. also think pendles is a chance to snag a 2 or 1. just so clean with his disposals and glides around the ground. just stands out from everyone else :D

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Im in the Ablett camp, having backed him early and continued to
do so - but over the past few weeks, Ive made an executive decision
and will now start backing Judd.

Judd is a lock for 3 on the weekend, also I think he gets he 3 against
Collingwood and he will probably get them against Geelong, even though
Ablett stood out, Geelong lost.

Its a 2 horse race IMO already, Judd being captain looks value at the
price atm..

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Round 8 Leaderboard

12. Ablett (0)
11. Barlow (0)
10. Judd (2)
10. Swan (2)
9. Sandilands (1)

7. Watson (0)
7. Bradshaw (0)
7. S.Johnson (3)
7. Pendlebury (0)
7. Pavlich (0)
7. Wells (1)

In only gave Judd 2 votes on the weekend, but could have easily got the three. Also gave Sandilands 1 vote, but could have easily got more.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Daniel Wells - 10
Jared Brennan - 7
Dane Swan - 7

You can add 3 votes in the Adel game and 1 or 2 in the St Kilda game !

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

I would be putting money on a tie, Judd & Ablett for the Brownlow, two out and out greats, would be wonderful if they both share it, awesome players to watch in full flow and even when they aren't getting it too much they still influence the game for their respective sides.

If you only have Judd on 8 it must be that you still hold a grudge on him leaving West Coast !

Yeah, I dont know how I got him there... but I like Juddy, no grudge here. :D I have him polling in 4 out of 5 games.

If you look at it from my perspective, he is coming in second.

Re: Brownlow Medal 2010

Barlow wont be anywhere near 10 votes. You can quote me on that. Sandilands is such a bad poll getter that he wont be high either. Pavlich however...

Judd and Ablett. 2 horse race. $7 for Judd is crazy considering at the least he's within a vote of Ablett (I got Judd ahead). Carlton's easy draw and at this point of the season i rekon Judd will win outright. The place looks a lock if he doesnt get injured.

Sandilands has polled 10 votes each in 2008 and 2009, not bad considering playing in a team that won 12 games combined in those two years. Add to that he has taken his game to another level (Most contested marks in the competition, avg. 1 goal a game) this year, no other ruckmen even comes close to him.

I think he is the real wildcard this year, I just don't know how the umpires will rate his games and if they will give him votes or not.
